Still have a habit of ordering a million things to eat
wagyu replied to wagyu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's not bothering my progress I think it's ok ... I think I'll need to get used to stop ordering so much ...waste of money. Psychologically gotta still work on it. I'll probably stop doing this once I see the bill for food and go what?! I didn't eat anything! Lol oh the struggles. Thank you obi wan. I try -
Hmmm Id like some ideas too lately I've been having soup with poached egg, tuna ( those bumblee bee sensations)

Post op diet Clueless
wagyu replied to Ourlifecomplete's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did you get a nutritional guide from the Nut? That's not good that thy sent you out without one. Every doctor is different on the get go out of the hospital I was on Pureed/ mush. So I could eat soft scrambled eggs and stuff coupled with protein shakes and soups. While other people were on liquids for a long while. You need to check with your doctor. -
Did surgery help your low back pain/sciatica?
wagyu replied to butterfly**'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am still waiting haha. I lost 30 lbs, and the pain at the lower back is there I think I have to lose more completely for it to go away. But hopefully it will. -
I thought day before surgery it's clear liquids only. Not even protein shakes. What were your instructions? You have to tell your doctor now to see if it's still ok. Well I know I'd love to lose 29 lbs in 2.5 weeks! Wow congrats. And protein shakes made me gag. I went to eat scrambled eggs and doused unflavored protein on everything so o can avoid the shakes

Samiro, I know it's annoying but the reason you aren't full is probably cause you're not eating anything solid I ate something close to solid (salmon and it was squished) a few days ago cause I'm allowed to and it went down like a brick so I stopped it and went back to liquids and pure mush. Trust me the stomach is working. And I whined a lot too my first few weeks so it's ok. My poor boyfriend had to hear me cry all week. But know it's working. I actually have days where I'm extremely hungry and days where I just don't want to eat so it varies. I can still eat more than most sleevers but then I have days I don't eat haha. You'll get the hang of it really. I mean even if you wanted to eat more I don't think you physically can. Like I physically can't, it will hurt and it isn't nice. If you think you can eat more than you can now I assure you , you physically can't. It's head hunger and I learned it the hard way. I think I got the hang of my sleeve it's working out. Hopefully. Fingers crossed. Wow!!! We are pretty close! I started at 230 im now at 201! My goal is also 130.

How can I be a failure already?
wagyu replied to Mini_me007's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think I had a 1-2 week stall in my first month and I am still in my first month and literally I stepped on a scale next day and lost 3 lbs and I jumped on it a few more times after that and stayed the same weight. So those 3 lbs are gone!!! Your body needs to catch up. It's all good. I hate stalls I actually went into a short whining depression session on the board and to my boyfriends ears lollll and then over a week plop 3 lbs gone. I think it has to catch up. No worries. -
A little intense no? Isn't this a support board? In think everyone is entitled to their process. I went through this over 8 years ago and maintained for many years BELOW goal and I am a firm believer that everyone should feel what they are feeling and feel validated. I enjoy your posts and think you have a lot to contribute but those new in the process are entitled to their anxiety. Yeah we aren't on a support board to bust our stomachs open we came to throw out anxiety here and it's given great advice but some are pretty insane and or harsh. im nearly at one month post op and I think I'm getting the hang of it so it's good but week one I was panicking and had full on anxiety to this process and it's nice to talk to other people about it . Let us/ them be drama illamas until we get the hang of it until then we will keep asking for advice and support etc. We can't All be super composed and experts right after we got our stomachs cut open, it's a learning process and support is immensely appreciated. And Samiro what 26 lbs already? That's amazing and a bit quick that's crazy! how much have you got to lose? Also I think half of them honestly is your stomach I can't imagine losing 26 lbs that's probably 2 lbs a day to self control. It's working.

What the heck kind of comment is that? Whenever someone says stupid things like that it's cause they pent up some jealousy somewhere and they wait for an ooportune moment to strike. This is a friend where you can tell gtfoooo.

Thats crazy! I feel you! I have someone who had surgery the same day and she doesn't stick to the plan at all, eating rice bread meats.... And she lost more than me by 10 lbs or so isn't that crazy? And I was pretty good for a few weeks then I'm like.... Really how is this possible? Is her metabolism 10x better than mine? Crazyy. Let's support each other through this it's really tough I know

Can drinking too much water stretch it? I drink more than I can eat. And everytime I drink it hurts but when I eat it doesn't. It's mind baffling

I'm in ur shoes..has it gotten any better since u posted last..I swear I feel like completely eating something crazy to see if I get sick..I feel like something is wrong.im hungry food goes down way to easy and now I'm scared. . My sx was 8,18 and I'm only down 9 pnds from sx 10 from liquid diet Your surgery was 9 days ago and you are "only" down 9 pounds? That's a pound a day!!!! How the heck much were you expecting to lose!?!?!? Oh I just realized this. Yeah. 9 lbs in 9 days is phenomenal.
-
Thanks guys! I'm just more annoyed I can eat more and many get full from a bite. I envy Vsgann lovely post! I do have days when I want to eat a lot and days when I don't. I think I need to have more Protein or rather that's what the nut suspects.

How much does my stomach hold? Not feeling "the full feeling" at all.
wagyu replied to cindyluc's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh god Same here I was hungry 4 days op and still freaking hungry. I don't understand why and it's bothering me -
I feel you it's so easy for me to eat and drink. Except water but everything is goes down like a breeze. I'm kind of jealous of people who only eat 2 spoonfuls and they're full. I constantly look for something to eat lol.

Do you weigh yourself everyday? Bad/good?
wagyu replied to wagyu's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hahahah yes weighing everyday is driving me absolutely crazy. I think I'll do once a week. It takes a lot of power to weigh everyday and not worry. -

Water going down more difficult than other foods
wagyu posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does anyone else have Water going down more difficult than foods? I'm on mush and yogurt,Soups, cottage cheese, ricotta, mush meats whatever goes down just fine... But when I drink water you can feel it go down, down, get stuck, then dissipate down and fill the belly it's a weird uncomfortable sensation I think part of the problem is I drink too much and don't sip? But i feel so dehydrated when I sip like I'm not taking enough water, and sipping doesn't make me feel like I'm drinking water. I love water!! How much can you drink at a time? -
May I ask what you eat? Month 1-3 like what's your normal day like?

Holy cow! 84 pounds in 3 months!!!! That's amazing! Omg how?????? That's amazing what?
