Welcome to the loser side. I had surgery on the 27th. I am trying to get adjusted to my new lifestyle.

July 27th here

I also had a hiatal hernia repair, my doctor kept joking about having my stomach in my chest, but I'm glad he fixed that LOL . now my stomach is nicely placed under my left breast bone .
-
Same here I sleep kind of sitting up, waiting for my belly swelling to go away and this random gas LOL . Went outside today for a house warming party geesh my family and food omg there was just so much, but I had my bottle of water. I'm just tired if being tired.

5 days post op, feeling tired still. Fighting to get in all this protein, just can't seem to consume that much liquid just yet. But so far so good. My husband has been by my side every step of the way I'm so great full to have his support during all this transitioning.

I went in on the 27th of July so star so good. Had a bad night yesterday but the nurses quickly jumped on it and got it worked out. Going home tomorrow

@@FrankinTexas how are you feeling on day 2.

At my hospital they said 3 days for gastric bypass surgery

Niki15 yes I was really worried that needing the hiatal hernia repaired was gonna cause problem but all is going okay. Tomorrow I will finish up my pre-op just gotta get the ekg. Sadly my husband's family reunion is this weekend, I'm gonna be missing lots of good food, but Ole well. I'm very nervous, and I've been doing a lot of second guessing. But, I pray that this is the right decision and that God brings me through with no problems.

Surgery is set for Monday.
-
Yes it is.
-
Sorry to hear that Niki15 I think I'm gonna have the same problem. But as long as it gets done, right.

I'm so confused right now. My pre op test showed that I had a hiatal hernia. I need to do an upper gi test to see if my surgeon can fix it during my wls. Problem is I've moved to Las Vegas my surgery was going to take place in Waukegan Illinois near wear I lived. I have family there so I was just gonna fly back for surgery like I did for my pre op. But, now with the hernia it's becoming harder to do. I already left illinois when the nurse called saying I need to do the upper gi test now I have no way of getting it done til I go back to Illinois in which case may not be done on time because I get there on the 24th my surgery is on the 27th that monday. But there is no guarantee that he will fix the hernia so the liquid diet I'm on now and flight there for surgery could just be a bust all for nothing. Sooooo I'm thinking of just transferring everything out here to Las Vegas. Then I'll have to find a new doctor etc. What should I do should I take the chance with current doctor or switch to doctor here in Las Vegas. BTW my insurance is Tricare Prime military insurance.

Good for you, I would imagine that going going to work would be a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it makes your day go by a bit faster, a curse because of things like Krispy Kreme doughnuts just laying around being enjoyed by everyone but you. But, none of us got this far in our journey easily we had to be strong to pursue this new lifestyle. You'll continue to do great. -
