The STRICT ones in first year......

There is a site called bariatricfoodie.com or also there's a free bariatric cookbook from Georgetown... You can just search it and it should come up. I use a lot of vegetarian recipes and then add in tofu or veggie crumble. I'm a big van of spaghetti squash... And I also I do each some legumes... Occasionally chick peas or whatnot.

I am in that category then. No starches in my diet, for the most part. You get creative with recipes

    Silly maybe...

Well, my one year surgiversary was yesterday... and it passed with no one saying anything. Granted not a lot of people know, but my partner... daughter... mother etc... not a word. I've lost over 150 lbs in this last year... and nothing. Hurt my feelings... and I can't say it to anyone, so saying it here... *sigh* makes me sad...
  4. I was a similar start weight and did the rny.. I've lost a total of 254 lbs since .. and 200 since my surgery one year ago tomorrow.. Hoping you do wonderfully!!

    RNY Friends Needed

Surgery went well, no complications I had the RNY done. I've lost over 150 since the surgery itself and 200 + from my highest. Still losing and hope it continues until I am down to my goal weight. Let's see

    Skin removal surgery? Help!

What's the required length? That's an odd requirement... :s
  8. I did the same. Dropped a bunch then seemed to stall. When I asked about it, I was told your body gets sort of shocked, and hangs back a second. . Most people experience it, but then it picks up again third week out. I was sceptical but, was true.. so hang tight, your body will catch up, trust the process

  10. Hi everyone! Wondering if any of you have had these surgeries, if so, after what amount of weight loss...what type? Are you happy with it? Pics (if that's not to personal)? I've lost a lot, (over 200) and am concerned about it... also what (if any) did insurance cover?? Thanks in advance..I know it's super personal. .

    Insecurities

That's a great idea! Embarrassed to say I didn't know that was something they did anywhere. . Going to have to get out there and look though...

    Insecurities

Thank you for responding I will try and do just that. We are new to the United states (Canadian here) so it's been odd trying to find anything for my kids even, but for me, I'm right lost ! Plus, not knowing my size and not liking how things fit. Totally different experience. I guess I just have to get my head in the game and do it.. not let it intimidate me... or try to at least... *sigh*

    Insecurities

Almost a year out from my RNY, lost a lot (200+ from highest weight) having such trouble finding clothes and feeling confident wearing them. Any ideas where to shop? What clothes styles work? I'm lost...super overwhelming. I have heavy legs, and a tiny waist, walking into stores I have never fit into.. just ugh... any help. ..??

    Stomach pain

Man.. sounds rough. And at this point theres not much thats tmi haha.. anf ya that's what they told me as well, can't see hernias on scans.. only scopes. I have had 2 scopes and did have a hiatus hernia prior to surgery. The Dr this morning thinks a scope would be helpful for me..
