  1. I have one coworker who just stares me up in down when I'm in front of her. She can't seem to help but look at me. It does make me uncomfortable but she's overweight also and I think she was just more comfortable around me when I was heavier.

    Night time cravings back?

I am trying to stay away from carbs but sometimes grab some pretzels or crackers to get my salt fix. I do also try an snack on lightly salted almonds or cashews to at least get some protein in.

    Any March 16 sleevers?

I have had a few stalls already. 36lbs total 26lbs since surgery. Haven't lost anything this week though. It is frustrating but I keep telling myself, I would not have lasted 6 weeks on a regular diet! Plus I'm doing bad about getting my workouts in!

    Any March 16 sleevers?

Hey guys! Weight updates. I feel I'm losing steadily. Currently 220, can't wait to be in Onederland!
  11. So I'm almost 1 month post op on the 16th and I met with my doctor today. He seemed okay with my weight loss 22lbs including my 7 day liquid diet. HW 256 SW 252 CW 229. I'm 5'4. He wants me under 200lbs the next time he sees me in 2 months. I asked what my ideal weight should be and he said 115. I said I would be okay being between 150-160lb. But he would be happy with me between 135-140. Because my BMI would be around 25. I was kind of taken back by that! He doesn't want me eating any type of carbs right now and he said I need to workout at minimum 4 days. So my butt needs to get the gym!
  12. I do feel like BMI charts are outdated. I still feel like my ideal weight would be between 140-150.

    Sushi!

I had the California roll made with cucumber and a veggie roll. 4 weeks after surgery. I could only eat 4-5 pieces total.

    PCP rant!

Reading this again and I'm so happy that I went against what my primary care doctor said and my counselor who tried to discourage me because "I had too much going on" I was a month into a new job when I got the approval and I just said enough is enough. 1 month post op and I'm so happy I had this surgery! 30lbs down! And I'm so glad I went with my gut!
  15. So I'm still in the beginning stages of my Weight loss journey. I had just my my first appointment with my bariatric surgeon I was told by that office that I would need to check in with my primary doctor every month for six months on a weight loss program. So I go this morning just to get weighed in and I have to wait an hour, I've only been with this doctor for maybe a little under a year. I have asthma, I have been there multiple times now, she never suggests any preventative care, the last time I was there I mentioned my weight and that I feel it's a huge factor with my asthma, she looks in my chart and says oh.. Well I see you've been overweight for several years now. (Really genius, thanks for noticing). And hands me a diabetic patient diet of 1200 calories. (I'm not diabetic). So needless to say I was doing my own research this past month when I came across this site and made my own appointments. So today she tells me, oh well what I've seen is that most patients gain back all the weight 2 years after surgery, and you need to show you are at least trying or you will be denied. She's like have you done anything? I mean first off I was livid and on the verge of tears, as most of you who have been overweight for a long time know, we have tried EVERYTHING! Weight watchers, medical weight loss, gyms, trainers, classes, pretty much tried it all. And she pretty much burst my bubble regarding even having surgery! Sorry this was long but I needed to let it out.
  16. I feel like my weight loss has already slowed down. So even losing 25 lbs in the next 2 months seems like it going to be hard. My doctor said I need to be doing at least 4-5 days of cardio!
  17. That's great! I noticed you lost over 100lbs! That's amazing! @
  18. I have not been under 200lb since I was 24. So to me that will be a huge milestone!
  19. I agree with you @ I'm trying not to stress over the numbers. My personal goal for now is to be under the 200lb mark by my next appt in June.
  20. It's weird isn't it? You are so used to seeing yourself a certain way and when the changes start happening it's almost like it's happening to someone else.
  21. So if you are 1 month post op (like me) or 1 year post op let's see your hair makeovers! I have been hiding behind my long hair for 3 years now. I used it as my security blanket. Well 30lbs down (with a ways to go) I felt the need to finally chop it off. It really meant a lot to me because I'm gaining my confidence back and I haven't felt confident in a very long time!
  22. Thank you! @@Christinamo7 I'm more shocked at my face. I swear I think I dropped like 3 lbs in my face. You can see my jawline again! I'm cold all the time too btw.

    Snoring

My husband says that I stopped Snoring and sadly he would also sleep in another room sometimes to get some rest.
  24. I just realized in the before photo I was 246. I'm still trying to find a full body before. I obviously never took them. @@Zoes.Realm I woke up today at 225. I can't wait to get to onederland! I would love to stay in touch with you since we had the same surgery date!
