Looking for other June sleevers to see how they're doing. I had the sleeve on June 10th and seem to have a very different diet than what I see others are allowed...also I didn't have to do a diet before surgery. My weight was 231 and I'm 5"7' I'm now 214 and the scale hasn't budge in almost 3 weeks ????

I'm dying that I cheated already 3 weeks post - op It was daughter's adoption party and I grazed the entire day and didn't feel so full so kept grazing! Being stuck doesn't help my mindset either- has anyone done this before- what do I do now ?? Feeling so ashamed!!

Dr. Shillingford-Boca Raton, Florida

I was self paid with dr wizman and the package was roughly $10,000 and then there's the additional 1,000 for extra insurance of which I got even though he has a great reputation I paid it- the amounts are not exact but rough estimates as I don't remember - 2 months out and loving life- hospital care was also exceptional staff was so pleasant! -
I drink my protein shake in between meals and 3 meals a day- went to doc and they said according to my lab results I'm malnourished so I have to now eat 4 meals a day and 60g of protein shake ugh- I don't know how I'm going to do this!!

Depression, Anxiety and Anger

Thankfully my surgeon had a required class for all patients and a packet we signed stating we read it- in it they talked about depression, regrets, social issues etc. - I knew what I was getting into and I'm now thrilled I did it- getting over that hump when you see the results will help...I also tell everyone what I did and thankfully most people are supportive and understand when I may pass on going out to dinner and meeting up afterwards for the movie ????hang in there it gets better and you'll be so happy!! -
Had a 1 month stall which played a lot of mind tricks on me- wish I would've measured myself as I did notice my clothes getting loose - now I'm losing again but of course not as fast - still it's going in the right direction down not up????

You should always ask your doctor- I've seen so many different restrictions with regard to diets for the sleeve that we could be giving you the wrong advice- I was never on clear liquids or a pre-op diet either and many can eat peanut butter or mashed potatoes and my doc says no- so find out as it varies -

Haven't heard of that- plus after the surgery you're put on a ton of vitamins -
Yes!! I was sleeved on June 10 and have lost 25lbs. At first I lost 18 lbs quick- afterwards I had a stall of 3 weeks and then slowly 1lb here or there...I have a digital scale so I'm now at 206.2.... That .2 just kills me- this stall and slow progress plays tricks on my mind as to whether or not this is going to work! I'm about 45lbs from my goal so I know I don't have as much to lose as others but it's still difficult
-
Fantastic!! It gives others encouragement to know that the stall won't last for long- my stall was 1 month !! It's slowly coming off again 1lb at a time is better than in the past gaining all the time

Ha! I too don't snore anymore- I was sleeved on June 10th during my summer break but will be heading back to work in 2 weeks where I will be hit with major temptations We're given bagels and muffins every 2 weeks and kids just love to bring me sweets...last year I just told them I have diabetes and they were better about it- first lab work to see if my diabetes is gone...hopeful - starting weight was 231 now 207 so about 24 lbs All in all feel great and can eat pretty much everything except bread pasta etc- having hard time with what to eat as I'm picky- my biggest regret was not measuring myself preop as I feel I'm losing more inches than pounds...socially it's the hardest thing I've done because life just revolves so much around food had my stall and now I lost 1lb so I'm hoping it just continues- HATE to exercise and I'm not consistent but I've got to do it- everyone in my house eats like crazy so I'm learning to deal with that too- hopefully a year from now we will all look back at this and see how far we've come!

I was self pay with dr wizman- everything went so smoothly and I love that he has informational classes. Hospital had exceptional care too! I'm from boca dr wizman is in margate but his meetings/office/hospital are all there and they have accommodations for out of town patients- good luck -
You're being way too hard on yourself! Just keep going and don't give up! I was sleeved on June 10th and have only lost 23lbs...my concern is menu options. I'm so not creative when it comes to eating so I'm afraid I'm getting bored eating the same things...wish there was more guidance to menu creations

You've done awesome 50lbs!!! Amazing...does your doc require a certain amount of protein? Mine requires 40g in liquid so if I drink one of my shakes per day I've fulfilled my quota...I'm struggling with breakfast as I have now discovered I don't like eggs

EAS myoplex shakes have 42g of protein- they've really helped sold at target 4/$10.99

Nuts: Peanuts, Almonds, Cashews, etc.
eisorp replied to BizzyB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ate nuts 3 weeks post-op. I buy these little containers that come with chopped turkey or chicken, chopped cheese and a few nuts usually almonds- I take these little packets with me whenever I travel- they let me in a baseball game with them and are a lifesaver- they have anywhere from 12-17 grams of protein!! Forgot the name but you can find them usually in the section where they sell lunchables- they are long rectangular containers - good luck! -
Tried scrambled eggs with a little cheese and hated them and I used to love them ????
