Feeling sexy and confident makes a huge difference in your life. I still have a long way to go until I hit goal (87lbs), but the 32 pounds gone gave me the ability to love my curves again. -

I'm 3 days shy of my 4 week check up in this pic and I'm 32 pounds lighter which is the equivalent of 23% of my excess body weight! My fiancé is an amazing photographer and he loves to capture me when I'm feeling sexy and confident...© Shaun Hurkmans

The pic on the left was take exactly one year before. I was wearing Spanx and a body shaper and I still looked hefty. The pic on the right I am 3 weeks and a day post-op and I wearing the same cute dress but without the shape wear. I'm 29.5 pounds lighter in the current pic from the day I checked in my first appointment with my bariatrician. -

I was 282.5 pounds when I went to my first appointment with a BMI of 41.5 and no co-morbidites. When I checked into surgery I was 269.5 pounds. I'm still bloated and swollen from surgery. -

Two Weeks Post Op and Weight Loss Stalled?
VSG_Melli replied to afansley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 5/29/15 and I'm 30 days post-op and I'm stalled right now. I was 282.5 when I started my journey and the day of surgery I was 269.5 and today I'm 249. I've been stuck between 248.2 and 249.8 for the last two weeks! I'm getting in my 7500-10,000 steps a day and I'm eating my meals, getting my protein in and avoiding all of the icky stuff that used to plagued me. I started crying today because my fiancé who isn't overweight but has been dieting per say to encourage me is losing more weight than I am. I'm so frustrated right now. I do have a thyroid problem and I'm meeting with my primary doctor tomorrow to get back on my meds. Hopefully that will jump start my weight loss. Shaun, my fiancé was 219 on June 17th and today he was 208!!! Why is it so easy for boys to lose weight without trying???? Ugh. Sorry I'm just venting.... Even though my RN said I'm ahead of the curve, I'm still upset. I'm rambling now.....
