Definately hang in there. I didn't feel anything for my first two fills, the third ... oh yea! I could and still can definately feel it. In the beginning I was very frustrated ... but believe me in time it will come!

is this typical? NO restriction at all
VAKitten replied to kplant's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded on 12/2 and have the EXACT same experience as you. My first fill is 1/15 and I cannot wait. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I feel some restriction but from what I understand from reading here it could take a couple or even several fills before you do. :hurray: I have been careful but have been able to eat everything I have tried and have not had any of the stuck or uncomfortable feeling that others speak of. I have been disappointed as I have felt really hungry. I am just hoping that this will change. -
Thank God the holidays are almost over

I too can relate. I ate so many things I should not have and need to get back to what I am supposed to be doing. I was banded 12/2 and go back on 1/15 for my first fill. I cannot wait as I am hoping for some of the restriction that others talk about and I do not feel. Today and at this moment I am really discouraged. -
Pouch stretch or band slippage
VAKitten replied to KTATOM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same fears as you and have eaten to much yesterday and today. I was banded on 12/2 and can't get my first fill until 1/15. I am frustrated and angry with me, but hopeful I haven't done harm to the band and/or pouch. -
After almost a year of looking into, going through the process and jumping through all of the insurance hoops it is finally over. I was banded one week ago tomorrow - Tuesday, 12/2. Just as I expected the surgery was not a big ordeal ... now the pain meds and the side effects. ugh! won't go there again. Only had pain med once .. in recovery .. and consistently refused it after that.
