    Hunger

Hi there. I haven’t been on this forum for a while. Everything that you’re feeling is normal I’m right there with you. I had revision surgery six months ago due to severe Gerd and I can tell you that I am not hungry and I eat because I need to or I’m bored. I have a delayed sense of fullness but is nothing like the sleeve. My surgery was in May and it took months before I even felt that. I do have to be careful because once the fullness does hit is miserable. Even then it is nothing like the restriction that I felt from my sleeve. The valve is gone so it’s all about receptors at this point . Keep watching your portions you know what you need to consume get your protein and eat some veggies and drinking water . I was never hungry with my sleeve either. I hope that helped.

    Sleeve to Bypass for Reflux

Hi everyone glad to have found you. Happy New Year. I am six month out from sleeve to bypass for severe GERD. I am still learning what this little tummy likes. Unfortunately dumping is frequent and nausea when too much carbs/sugar. My biggest frustration now is not having a trigger of when I am full until it’s too late and then I’m miserable. I just don’t feel the restriction immediately like I did with my sleeve, it’s more of a delayed reaction so I am having to pay more attention. I can say I have lost the 20 pounds I put on so that is a plus. Still have high blood pressure and had to change my meds around since no more long acting meds allowed but my cholesterol is normal for the first time in 7 years! And yes GERD is gone. I feel a little heat with spicy food but it quickly goes away. A plus to this surgery is I can eat salad again!

    Feelin like crap...

I'm seriously thinking dehydratin. That can turn into a medical emergency really quick !! Drink as much as you can. Did up you call your surgeon? Consider ER Visit...

Set a timer, I had to..only way I could keep up

    Alcohol

I waited my year, and yes it hit faster. Didn't feel great afterward so probably won't have often. Wouldn't drink in public not knowing how I would react. Keep to a few sips and be done Might want to reconsider how important is is since if I'm reading right you are only a few months out

    Becoming vegetarian after surgery.

I hated meat at first, it just made me too full no matter how little I ate. I kept trying. Switched to chicken thighs as the breast I could't seem to get down. Beef still not that Great. I eat maybe an ounce of meat at a time because it feels me up so fast. I considered myself a vegetarian for a while after surgery but stopped when I could tolerate meat. I was tired of Beans and the carbs were freaking me out!!! Couldn't do eggs either, but no problems now... I have an eggs steamer and love the texture a bit better than boiled. If it doesn't work for You at first , put it Sade and come back to it later.
  9. I'm an RN and manager for busy case management department. Took 4 weeks and would have done one more but I was stir crazy. The tiredness kicked my butt that first two weeks back, but I made it. I pretty much came home and passed out. He time off helped me get through the eating stages with time to adjust.
  10. Hi there I just wanted to check and see how everyone is doing. I have about 25 more pounds to goal. I am not as strict with myself as I should be ... Just broke a three week stall. Down over 120 lbs now... Labs ok Vitamin d low, every thing else ok Flabby skin on arms, thighs, belly. But oh well flap on!! I still can't eat a lot, and my acid reflux can be a beast. Nexium once day helps Still have at least one Protein shake a day...struggling with Water The journey continues.
  11. The time passes so fast it's been a year for me now and I'm still not done losing. Your weight loss is great . If you've gotten off track take a deep breath and start over. I've gotten somewhat lax but I added my Protein shakes back in and trying to get my Vitamins . This tool is still there just let it work . I realize where my issues are and I have to do better

    All food tastes bad now.

It gets better. Focus on finding things you can tolerate. Smells still sometimes get me but it does get better.
