    New Guy Here....

I had my lapband installed in Dec. 2007. To date I've lost almost 60lbs. I have had 2 fills and am not as restricted as I would like. It takes several fills to reach the right restriction, but eat that protein first and continue to drink those protein drinks (protein helps control the hunger pangs). Skip
  4. Hi, I had my surgery (lap band) at Riverside in Dec. You could not have picked a better group. I had a excellent experience at Lexington Hospital. Recovery was without problems. You will feel restricted for the first three or four weeks then you'll be able to eat too much. Try to stay as close to the program as possible and it will work out. I'm going to have my second fill on Mar. 5. Looking forward to more restriction. Skip
  5. I was banded on Dec. 5, 2007. Had my first fill (2cc) in late Jan. 2008. I feel almost no restriction. Going back for second fill on March 5. In the mean time am operating on will power. Sure hope I get restriction soon. Skip

    For Just Us Guys

Hi Guys I had my first fill on Wed. Jan. 23. I had to go back on liquids and soft foods for several days. I also cannot tell any difference. No apparent restriction, but still trying to limit my intake and trying to stay low carb. I was told no rice, potatoes, or starchy vegtables. since my surgery on Dec 4, 2007 I have lost about forty pounds. But I have not had any feeling of restriction in the quanity of food I could eat, just trying to follow portion control and drinking the protein shakes. the shakes seem to help with the hunger. Looking forward to feeling restricted. Regards Skip

    For Just Us Guys

Hi guys! I've been banded a little over a month. How are you handling bowel movements. I feel like I need to be going more than I am. I have tried a stool softner, but still only have a movement every two or three days and it is not a very large amount. I don't feel bloated or uncomfortable. Any advice? Skip

    For Just Us Guys

Hi guys. This is my first post here. Had my band on Dec. 4, 2007. Lost 15 lbs the first week after banding. I have had no problems. Just as most of you guys, I feel like I can eat a lot more thn they said I would be able to eat. I am still unable to get a "full" feeling, but I try not to eat over 1 cup at any one time. I am scheduled for my first fill on Jan. 23, 2008. Hope I can hold out that long. Regards Skip
  9. I had my band installed on 12/4/07. By Dr. Glen Strickland. It's been three weeks and I have had no problems.
