Like many of you, I have spent years and years trying (and failing) to lose weight. I would lose a little, but gain a lot more. Eventually, the gaining became more than the losing. This started to affect my health and my self-esteem. My ob-gyn suggested Gastric Sleeve, she said that people with PCOS had very favorable results to the surgery. At the time, I thought it was too drastic of a move. I said no and decided to go on another diet. Two years, 40 pounds, and tons of research later, I was ready for surgery.
I am 41, but with the extra 120 pounds I carry around, I feel so much older. My surgery is on July 22, 2015. I am excited, nervous, and scared!!
