Sleeved 6-10. Down 40lbs but stalled
Christy K posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
So far this has been awesome. Down 40lbs in 6 weeks but stalled for 1 week. Having difficulty with the protein and water. Wonder if the water is making me stall.... Anyone else? -

Stage 2 diet / full liquids & pureed food

I was sleeved on 6/10 and am now on soft foods. I try to do a greek yogurt in the morning followed by cantaloupe or honeydew. Then I drink crystal light sweet tea. For a snack I do string cheese and found it very easy to snack on tuna with light mayo. For dinner I have had success with Talapia and very soft green beans but today I had snow crab and OMG it was wonderful. If you prep plan your food it certainly helps.... Just remember to chew, chew, chew. I had fish stick 1x and oh please, never again! Doing good, down 22lbs. -
I just called my surgeon today for this same issue. I am 15 days post surgery today. My first release was awful at day 9 post op!!! It was black and scared me to death. Turned out that was just blood from the stomach removal process and is totally normal. However, I literraly sat on the throne or over 1 hour and although I had relief, my body went into a crazy shock and I felt terrible the next day. Now I am at day 15 and I gained 1lb but I know it's because I havent had a bowel movememt since the "total clense" as I called it. Surgeon said to try Mirolax and if that didn't work he would write me a perscription for something stronger. I just started on the softer foods (purred) and will be adding in the veggies tonight. I believe our bodies are just adjusting, ventyually it will all be better.
