I hear you. I've only been preop. How far out are you? I'm almost 2 weeks post op.
-
I'm in Jax as well and a few others here. Do you guys go to any of the support groups?
-
I can't offer much, I'm only 10 days post op but originally that is what I wanted. After research I decided against the band due to complications, always getting fills, and having a foreign object. The first doctor I went to was opposite as yours. I wanted sleeve by that point he suggested band but was willing, I found a new surgeon as the only reason was band was that surgeon's specialty. I researched alot on here and after my initial thoughts band was never an option. Keep reading and be sure to ask the people who had band to sleeve revision Also to had there are success stories with the band for me though sleeve was the better option.

You and your new post op ass, a guide.

Maybe a silly question but I'm 7 days post op. Should I be looking for a normal poop. I have basically a very watered down version and figured it's normal since I've only had liquids. It's not volcano by any means but more just water not too much as in dehydration -
How long did everyone feel nauseous afterwards. My surgery was on Wed and I think I'm doing well except the nausea and tenderness bothers me.
-
I was sleeved Wed and today the soreness is practically gone. Yesterday I was still very sore. And yes easier
-
I am only on liquids. Think I'm not getting enough in is all.

Silly question - day before liquid diet

Southside, you? -
I don't think it matters but I never asked at the docs office. For the liquid diet I have to follow today for surgery Wednesday it just says 9am - Crystal light. There isn't a set amount or limit right? I tend to drink that and Water by the gallon. I assume the more the better but figure better safe that sorry! Thanks!

Silly question - day before liquid diet
Leesa926 replied to Leesa926's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi @@jane13 I believe we both used Dr. Uchal no? I wasn't concerned with the cut off time more so amount i.e how much crystal light. I will call to make sure. Thanks!! -
I'm not the best chef so the recipes I've made from my NUT have been delicious so far. Surgery is Wednesday (nerves high) and I know I have to drink shakes although I'm not a huge fan. Figured I'd post here for some full liquid and puree recipes or ideas other than Protein shakes. More so the full liquids I would say. Thanks all.

I should know this week when will have surgery but should be mid Dec. I am a little concerned as I just got back from a 10 day vacation from work. I give my all to my job and to be honest my job doesn't really care much about their employees but I do have a concern that I will be taking off. I don't want to tell them the reason for fear they will feel it is elective and I could wait (technically i could but job stability is an issue) I guess I just needed to vent and see what others have to say about feeling bad for your job. I know it sounds silly, most people i know think I am crazy but I feel overwhelmed at leaving my area in the state it is in (I am a district manager) but I also feel I have almost 100 hours that can be used towards FMLA and I should take time that I need. My plan is to base it off of what the doctor suggests and then I could always try to go back part time or work from home. Does anyone else have this stress going on when it comes to time off work? Am I being selfish as I just had vacation. (Vacation was booked earlier this yeay way before my WLS path)

So my insurance was submitted and after numerous calls I keep getting the run around first then told that there is no requirements as far as 3 months or 6 months my surgeon's office made me complete a 3 months. Everytime I call they say there's nothing specific listed just all the information to see if it would qualify I now found out that it is pending further information as on the phone they told me they didn't have information. The letter I have almost it is as if they have nothing. It states diagnostic testing results previously tried treatments and any other information you feel would support the request In the paragraph they talk about BMI and weight reduction regimen for at least 6 continuous months in the two years prior to surgery. These efforts must be fully appraised etc. I know they have my weight watcher records and I was told that's all that they would need plus I sold my other position regarding phentermine. I am hoping they just wanted to say that I have tried for at least 6 months not under doctor's supervision like some of the plans say. Now I am scared that I need 6 months rather than 3 months. My plan was printed out at the surgeon's office and this is not what it said other Blue Cross Blue Shield do say that. Can anyone tell me if they feel I'm going to have a problem? Surgeon and insurance are both closed until Monday so I have to wait at least until then my fear is that next year the insurance will go up considerably Thanks in advance I am sort of freaking out It does show it like this >bmi, 6 months, so I'm hoping they mean in addition to that meeting they already have that information. When I called on the phone they said they were just missing with the facility information but that is not shown on the letter
