I was a skinny kid, then gained 30 lbs during puberty but managed to lose it pretty easily before I started high school. I stayed around 130 throughout high school until I entered a bad relationship my senior year. That following year, 18-19yrs old, I gained 100lbs. Eating fast food twice a day, reduced activity and depression got the best of me. I fluctuated between 240-260 throughout my 20's. I had 2 daughters during that time and only gained about 30lbs each, both times losing it right away. When I was 30, I started weight watchers and working out a lot. Added on to that, I was still nursing my baby and managed to lose 50lbs....my biggest loss ever. It took me nearly a year and even at 212 I was in the best shape of my life. A move and a divorce set me sliding backward and back to 240 I went. I climbed up to 260-280 where I have been hovering the last few years.
I am ready to make the forever change. I'm ready to run my first half marathon. I'm ready to stop being embarrassed of my weight to the point I miss out on doing things with my kids. This is the year I make the change.
