when i was in my 20's and looked best in my life, men were NASTY to me==you wouldn;t believe some of the stuff i'd hear walking down the street...i gained weight, got old and frumpy, and it was a relief not to have to deal with that kind of rude attention that i got when i looked the best i ever had. i became invisible and it was a definite improvement. some years later i took a course with a beatiful girl who was an exotic dancer. she said as a dancer, the better you look, the nastier men treat you! she would dress down and leave off her makeup to avoid being hassled when she3 wasn;t working. so men are incomprehensible LOL anyway...see if there is a pattern of where you are when guys are checking you out. you will probably meet very different quality of men in a library or church than in a mall or club...and as you said, your in a lot of changes right now and if feeling unsure better to skip guys for a while. insecurity and neediness draws undesirables like blood in the water draws sharks.

tons of omega 3's helped me somewhat for a while along with the nsaids. unfortunately tylenol never did anything for me for period pain. eventually endometriosis got so bad i was taking post op strength hydrocodone (?) after hysterectomy i needed less pain med immediately post op than on any typical menstrual day!!!

if you're sick of the shakes, you can put Protein powder in sf pudding, i have also mixewd it with pnut butter to make something that resembles the inside of a pb cup or like a homemade pnut butter Protein Bar. i put it in my coffe with some shole milk powder and splenda and it makes a passable latte type drink. that said, i'm not sick of shakes yet, but i am mostly a food -as -fuel kind of person. also i have never had such amazing nails in my life =)

bazoooms replied to Cdominguez's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
hi c dominguez, i had a lot of hunger pangs (as in most of the time and waking me up at night) till i recently began eating solid foods. also don;t know if this had anything to do with it but i was keeping my carbs way down. but doing the liquid diet is important so your innards can heal up. hang in there! -

Why Am I So Tired?
bazoooms replied to Indieflickers's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
if you have been taking b12 supplememnts, some people don;t respond to the most common one used in shots and subliguals/pills...there is another type of b12 that works better for some people, cant remember right now what it is though. major life changes can make you very mentally fatigued--it's a profound type of tired...similar to nthe fatigue you feel when actively grieving. you are having to change the way you think about everything. it's hard work. -
okay, had my first cup of coffee this morning (with vanilla Protein powder and milk, natch) felt on top of the world, made myself a big to do list for the day...and only got 2 things done LOL but took morning walk before anything. after that, went to an appointment, then alternated resting and doing a little bit the rest of the day, just had my 1st 2 bites of not liquid food--cottage cheese. what i normally would have inhaled in less than a minute...is still on my plate waiting to be eaten 5 minutes later. so far so very, very good. what would i do different? gotten a carry on bag with wheels--my carry on was way heavier than i was supposed to carry and i think that contributed to my discomfort--make that moderate misery--on the flight(s) back. would not have used my very heavy, powerful, self propelled vacuum cleaner this morning--could feel all my core muscles engaging and felt pretty yucky for a while afterward. at the contrast x ray i tossed that contrast liquid down in one big gulp. very bad decision. wound up having to take a double dose. diarrhea is a major side effect. does not play nice with walking alking walking round town.... i would have brought actual walking shoes, didn;t understand the meaning of walking walking walking, figured i'd be strolling hospital corridors like i have after previous surgeries here in the states. and wore crocs. wound up with a big ole blister. while also having diarrhea. wound up missing a day of town walking. no fun. i would have brought sunscreen--again figured i'd be walking indoors and wouldn;t need it. would have left my most of my reading material at home. heavy books that i was too tired to concentrate on and read., except for the flight out. not worth the weight in the carry on. 1 week post op
