I know the feeling I'm free of that thing and on my way back to great health. I have a dietician , trainer, and my will. This is much better. I don't want any other weight loss operation only to find out in 4 years that too was a mistake. I'm over it. I'm a size 12 dress loose 14 pant 5'8 and trying to get to A size 8 dress 10 loose pant.

Surgery Cancelled with 2 days to go

I would heed the mishaps and get a refund. Maybe its best. -
Did anyone have this issue of low copper with lap band placement? I had it removed 9/17/15 due to rejection after 4 years.

Banded in 2001. Questions about converting to Sleeve. Scared.

I would never do anymore weight loss surgeries. I am so excited to eat and drink together. To not feel thrown off with that foreign object I'm 5'8 180. I have a dietician and things are great. I will be at 155 in no time. Don't do it. They will discover 10 tears from now at the things they don't know or won't tell u. I absolutely regret the band. -

3 of my coworkers have sleeves and I do know for them it was horrible. Out 3 weeks and had to wear bags. -
My band and doctor were great, for me I have underlying autoimmune issues so my body rejected the band. The way it rejected was many unexplained syndromes with no true cause. Also the syndromes/disorders would come and go. Ex. Anemic one week, low thyroid, sjrogens extreme fatigue (narcolepsy) so on and the next month's check up gone. Then back again. So now we will wait since removal and see how my body adjust. I week out and no more griti eyes. I had no issues prior to placement.

Thank you , I am trying a nasal spray and allergy med to try and uncover the cause.

I don't miss all this stuff. I took the band out and have not looked back. Now I am going to heal from this mess I got myself in. They cannot fool me again. Ugh!

Doctors scale has me down 13 pounds since band removal. 6 days ago. I can do this all by myself. I'm stronger than food. 182.5 goal 165

Today's the day to go and visit with the doctor since removal. I really feel they left me with a small hernia. I have coughing at night. I am trying to be calm. This means going back into surgery and pay additional money to have this corrected. And mind you more scars and cuts. UGH! The good news is I'm down 9 pounds since the band has come out. That band was the devil. Now I must save for a plastic surgeon to correct these scars. I'm pissed.

I go in tomorrow for my post removal checkup. One doctor at my EGD said I had a small hernia, the surgeon at the removal said they didn't see one. whose lying? These doctors annoy me so much. They did say without hesitation my liver looks perfect. My concern is with a possible hernia or dilation left untreated. I am asking for all surgery reports and medical records. I really hope the doctors correct. I asked the nursing assistant how could there not be a hernia she stated sometimes when the band is removed the bulge settles back to its normal state. HMMM???

I also feel better. This removal was a breeze. No pain just soreness.
