My name is Sumayah, I'm originally from California, and I'm a public health grad student living in Atlanta, GA. I'm currently overseas in Saudi Arabia, visiting my family. I've always loved traveling, and the fact that my family lives in two separate continents and two states in the U.S. has been a great chance for me to get away from my busy life as a student. I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in psychology, and I am halfway through my Master's program at the moment. Basically, my life is all about being a student, and I like it that way. I hope to enroll in a PhD program next and one day become a professor at a university. My issues with obesity and weight loss began when I was around 11 or 12 years old, which was also the time when I began to question my sexuality and didn't really know better than to keep it all bottled up and attempt to deal with it on my own. That didn't work out so well, obviously, and it wasn't until my last year of university that I came out to my immediate family and experienced a feeling of great and inexplicable relief when they accepted me as a bisexual woman with open arms. Since then, I've finally allowed myself to begin dating for the first time in my life and branch out to meeting new people and experiencing new things. Yep, that's about it! Hope you all enjoyed my rather unprompted sad gay story! P.S. I'm at the stage of my surgery recovery where I HATE soft foods. Hate hate hate. I'm sure many of you can relate?
