Super. I would like to see how everyone is dong.

I did not have a drain either but I know of others who have. It would have been a hassle. Thanks for facebook support group.

I can relate to feeling bloated. My stomach still feels huge and heavy. I would say go home and get some sleep but you are going to busy all day trying to get you Water and protein in. My protein goal is 60-80 grams as well.

Hang in there Stevodreo. Everyday gets a little better. I am still having issues with gas but incisions feel fine. I have no problem getting all of my water in but the protein is tough. They are not kidding when they say this is a full time job.

I had my sips surgery June 30. I had a considerable amount of nausea with 1 vomiting episode . I was discharged at 3:00 the next day when I proved I could drink the Protein shakes and Water. Really, the only discomfort I feel is the gas pain and walking does alleviate this. It's difficult to get I all the protein. I really do not like the sugary taste of the shakes. I like the chicken broth the best. I had IV fluids until discharge and ended up 12lbs over my pre-surgery weight. Today I weighed my pre-surgery weight. I would like to hear from you stevodreo. I know you had same surgery date.

Thanks SipsGrammy for the encouragement. It is a relief to hear others who have had this surgery and are doing well.

I am 49 years old and scheduled to have SIPS on June 30. I know many people who have had RNY with great success. I have chosen SIPS due to my need for NSAIDS and Prednisone for management of degenerative arthritis. I am excited and nervous as well. I am terrified that I will not wake up from my surgery. That being said I have confidence in my surgeon. These forums have been an invaluable tool in preparing for my surgery. Please keep posting!
