  1. I feel like once I was allowed semi solid foods I just got very excited and probably ate too fast.
  2. Good for you Shauna! I took my daughter school shopping today and got some good exercise too!! Yeah!! Hey when can you guys eat fruit? I'm dying for some raspberries or strawberries!
  3. Thank you @@Niki15 ! I will try that. I have been using cortisone creme and it's getting better.
  4. Best of luck NewMeat!!
  5. I love this forum! You guys are so great!!
  6. Okay. I'm going to be on the lookout for it. Thx for including a picture!!
  7. Thankfully after it came up I was okay. The painful feeling went away and I could enjoy the play.
  8. Smrogg did you get that at the grocery store or a health food store? @@TeeNahh when I had kidney pain a few weeks ago I literally sat with pillows all around me and drank a huge amount of water within one hour just to see if it would help and it really did. Try pure cranberry juice too.
  9. I'm so sorry bookworm. Please let us know how it goes. I had bypass on June 30 (1 week before you) and I was miserable until about last week. I questioned why I did it too. It's normal. I had my first vomit bout tonight so I'm going back to liquids for a bit
  10. Oh my goodness! Had my first vomiting episode tonight! I went to see Phantom of the Opera in LA with my mom and we went to dinner first. I was so excited to be able to eat normal food that I ordered chicken parm. BIG MISTAKE. First bite, okay, kinda hurts, better chew it up more. Second bite,... Nope. Not a happy tummy. Officially hurts. So I take a sip of my lite lemonade and now it hurts even more!!! Ahhhhhhh! I run to the bathroom and out comes the chicken parm ????. Back to liquids tomorrow to give my poor tummy a break. I feel like my new tummy is like an unborn child. I talk to it, and rub it, and apologize to it. Lol. Holy sh!t, that was NOT a fun experience.
  11. I'm not doing a lot of exercising. I still get tired if I do too much. We are at the beginning stages of moving so I am slightly active. I took more walks when I was recovering, to be honest. Now I'm just trying to return to normalcy.
  12. Men have it much easier in that regard. ????
  13. I had an entire week where I didn't lose. Then I was told I could eat normal (no steak or raw veggies/fruit) and I have since started dropping again. Also, started my period so keep that in mind too
  14. There are carb smart tortillas by Mission that are a great replacement for bread. I too was really wanting a sandwich so I put some tuna on the carb smart tortilla and tried it. I found that I was used to having tuna without the bread and preferred it alone. Best of luck!
  15. Hey guys I'm trying not to panic but could use some advice. I took a shower this morning and while I was bathing under my tummy it burned. When I got out I lifted my tummy and saw a HUGE rash!!! I haven't noticed it thus far but it's unbelievable! It looks so inflamed but I didn't even know it was there. I have been so focused on my incisions that I never lifted my tummy to check it out. I put baby powder on it and already have an spot with my dr tomorrow. What do you think it's caused from? ????
  16. I'm drinking about 3 big Starbucks cups per day either of water or water and decaf tea. I honestly have no idea how much that is.

    RNY

Hi! I had my surgery on June 30 and for the last 5 days I have not lost a single ounce. Did you have that too?
  20. @@shellyd88 wow! Good for you! It's hard to imagine losing that kind of weight. It's still pretty early for me but I guess I imagined it "falling off" with such a small intake of food but it's not. Any tips to be successful?
  21. I totally feel your pain! I am a little over two weeks out and was questioning myself for at least the first 12 days. It's a roller coaster of emotions especially because I haven't physically felt loss even though the scale has told me I have. I also loathed the liquids only phase. On Monday I get to start my final phase and eat more normal foods. I'm so glad! I just want to chew! Lol. Actually I really want deli meat (turkey or roast beef) and cheese. That just sounds so good!! Sorry, food tangent. Anyway, it will get better it just feels like forever the first few weeks.
  22. I had my hubby take pictures of me the day of surgery from all angles and with clothing and with partial clothing. I have been complaining about the surgery (it has been tough) but oh my god. I look at the pictures and want to cry. How could I let myself get that way?! That's not me in those pictures!, not the real me anyway. Oh goodness guys, after surgery when questioning what the h*ll we were thinking.... Look at before pictures. You will feel better!!! ????
  23. I have had kidney stones twice in my life and they are terrible!!!! I hope you pass them quickly!
  24. Ahhhh I'm sorry to hear that @@smrogg !! Stage 2.... Arghhh. Hopefully only for a few days right?
