    Got my date!

Good for you!! Are you an exerciser? That has always been my downfall, but I am working on it. It's pouring here today, so I'm going to do my cardio walking the mall. Win-win!! LOL My skin feels great too! Good things are coming our way
  5. It's probably me, but I cannot figure out how to 'like' posts. I had a hard time downloading pics too, maybe because I'm using my phone instead of PC?

    Got my date!

Yes! Please do! Eliminating the carbs makes a huge difference and helps with the weight loss. For me, the thing that was the most difficult and inevitably helped me the most was Water. I was a serial coffee/soda drinker. Prior to this experience, I could go MONTHS without as much as a sip of water! (Looking back...gross!) I weaned myself off and have sucsessfully kicked that yucky habit. Tomorrow is 8 weeks of nothing but ice water. I bought a plastic cup/straw that is 20oz. I have at least 5 a day and I bring it with me everywhere. That helped with the drive thru temptation. I also began the post-op Vitamin regimen a couple of months ago. I didn't take any Vitamins prior. (Shocking...I know lol) The water/vitamin combo not only contributed to weight loss, it made me feel SO much better! I was in a dark place when I started this process, emotionally. My self esteem was non existent and I had NO energy! Having said that, I can truly say that slowly implementing post-op behaviors have made a huge difference physically and emotionally. How much weight do you have to lose before surgery?

    Got my date!

@@changingme5 I had to lose 13 pounds in order to have my first consultation with the surgeon. I was required (thankfully) to meet with a NUT, PT, and PSYCH they all helped me lose weight while going through the process, thereby eliminating the need for pre-op diets. This program is very strict about losing the initial weight. It's a requirement and they do not waive it. If you are not where you are supposed to be on the day of, the surgery will be canceled. I worked so hard to get my date that I was not going to let that happen. I was required to lose 13 and as of yesterday, I am down 20! Whoooo Hoooo
