How many pant sizes did you lose in a year?
reree6898 replied to Synee's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
That is seriously amazing! Love your before and after profile picture! Sent from my LG-H820 using the BariatricPal App Oh thanks, that was an older one, here is a recent one from last month when I hit my one year anniversary. In the blue I was at nearly my heaviest weight, I had lost a bit prior to surgery. Then on the right was at one year out. -

For me I went from being in a 24/26 to now at a 10/12 pending on the style and cut in right at a year from being sleeved. 319 lbs down to 157 as of today. -
I have never thrown up and my surgery was 13 months ago. Everyone is different though. I have a coworker who was sleeved before I was and we went through the same program and she was sick for the first few weeks after surgery but then was fine after that first few weeks.

I hate to hear that, I hope all the best for you.

My husband was very supportive in the beginning but as I lost more and more weight he got more and more distant toward me. He never admitted it but once I got smaller then him (he's not obese, just a little husky) things seemed to change even more. I don't know if it's because I stood up for myself more as I began to gain confidence or what but he walked out in July. The divorce will be final at the end of the year. I hope things are better then this for you.

The gallbladder typically presents with pain on the back right side and pain in the shoulder blade. If it's your back left side it may be muscular or possible kidney stone.

In the blue was at almost my heaviest weight. Surgery weight was 319, in the white shirt was at about 162 lbs I think and right at one year out from surgery. I have lost another 5 lbs since that was taken and my goal is to lose down to about 140 or so. -

What do you miss or think you will miss about being obese?

Um.....nothing. -
Positive motivation: I will not miss...
reree6898 replied to doxaholic's topic in Duodenal Switch Surgery Forum
I don't miss feeling like an embarrassment to my children when attending school events. I don't miss never being able to find cute clothes. I don't miss feeling like I was sitting on the sidelines of life. I don't miss severe pain in my back and joints. I don't miss raging IBSD issues. My list could go on for days of the things I don't miss about being morbidly obese. -
Check out Leslie Sansone, I believe she has videos on you tube as well as dvd's that are indoor walking videos. Don't push yourself too much till you heal a bit more but these are great for walking indoors when it's too hot outside. Do try to move hourly though so that you don't run risk of blood clots.

This is why I need WLS.
reree6898 replied to Jane1979's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Even though your not sleeved yet it may help to get in the practice of not eating and drinking at the same time as how wolfylove mentioned. When you eat and drink at the same time it washes the food through your system faster and makes it easier to eat more and be hungry quicker after eating which for me always led to bad choices personally. -

The different sections would need to be removable so that the meat could be heated up while the fruit stays cold. -
How about some NSVs!?!?
reree6898 replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I finally built up enough endurance to do a 5k! This was a huge goal for me considering a year ago it was difficult to even try a mile. -
Is there a medical reason that he gave though because that still seems off unless you have had an ulcer or something that would prevent him from doing more. If he can't give a medical reason I would consider seeking a second opinion from a different surgeon.

That seems very low. I thought the average is 85%. Did you ask him why so low?

Let's Talk About the M Word
reree6898 replied to losergrl75's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have wondered about this too. I am currently about 25 pounds or so from my goal of 140 and I have never been in a normal size/weight in my life. I spent most of my adult life being over 300 pounds. Now to be so close and see it within reach freaks me out a bit. I plan to be done losing and at goal by the end of the year and I wonder ok so what happens then? -
Learning to Put Yourself First (Sometimes!)
reree6898 replied to Vagrant Violet's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It may be hard for the first few weeks while you recover but a few weeks of hard now is way better then the rest of your life being harder then it should be due to obesity and the health issues that come with it. Continuing on the path of obesity will only hurt you and your ability to care for your child.
