I am still in my 30s for a couple more years. I think I am just going to keep the focus on me and my kids and not worry about a relationship for now. This made me literally laugh out loud, the odds are good but the goods are odd!

Lol, well I have found there are good and bad of all kinds of folks but this one happened to make some really sucky choices.

Thank you all very much.

Thank you all for the kind words. I do appreciate so much the support that comes from this group of people on this site.

Yeah I have to keep in mind that scales are all going to be calibrated a bit differently. Also time of day and how much you've ate or drank that day can make a difference as well. When I weigh at home at the same time every day then later go to the dr in the afternoon it can be several pounds different. My dr said that the true weight is the naked after going to the bathroom first thing in the morning weight so that is what I go by.

I still do enjoy food but it's different now. I enjoy quality healthy food. I no longer eat the greasy fast food and fried things. I still enjoy a sweet treat here and there but I limit that to maybe one small treat every week or two and I didn't allow that till I was about a year out. I make sure that I don't allow trigger foods to stay in my home or I will want to pick at it too much. I am currently 15 months out. HW 376 in 2011 SW 319 9/28/15 CW 146.8 today 172.2 lost since surgery and 229.2 overall. -

I hate Zales commercials

Every insurance is different in requirements. I would suggest that you talk to the insurance company and find out exactly what they use for approval. Have them email it to you so you have it in writing. -
Sorry your feeling rough but gotta say your posts are always good for a laugh. You have a talent when you write. Hate to break it to you but even though this is that you are sick it is possible to have dumping syndrome with the sleeve even thought it's not as common as with bypass. Feel better!

I can understand the feeling. My husband walked out 5 months ago today with out any warning. I was at work and got a text that he moved out. My wedding anniversary is next week and the divorce will be final in January. I put on my happy face most of the time but really feel like I'm falling apart inside still. Just keep trying to stay focused on the positive and take it day at a time. That's all any of us can do. -
anyone not recognize you after weight loss?
reree6898 replied to newmein2017's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To me I think I still look mostly the same but I have had coworkers that hadn't seen me in months say they didn't recognize me. Oh and the best one was I had to go into my sons school one day and while waiting my turn in the office the secretary thought I was my 18 year old daughter. [emoji4] -
Dinner suggestions

I had my birthday the month after my surgery. I went to Mexican and got a soft chicken taco and just ate the chicken and cheese out of it. I ate about half of the fillings and my part of the bill was less then two dollars! -
Has anyone looked at the money they have saved post op?
reree6898 replied to mbuczkowski's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me I do save on eating out because we don't hardly ever eat out anymore because I prefer to cook more of my own food now so I know exactly what's in it and what oil is used etc. As for clothes I have had to buy clothes several times over the last 14 months but the smaller clothes are much less expensive then the plus size. For example before I could only really find jeans at plus size stores for around $50-60 a pair. Now I can find jeans for $10-20 a pair depending on where I go. I will say I am not one to care about brand labels though. I guess if you prefer the brand names it may be different. -

I have wondered about these. Does it wear your carpet under where you use it? -

Food scale, measuring cups, yeti cup for ice water, scale to weigh myself on daily, I have stuck to the basics and done quite well. -
My children father is causing me stress!
reree6898 replied to funsize.ma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If by saying things are now physical you mean that he's become abusive then you need to first focus on getting you and your kids out of there no matter what. No one is ever worth things getting physical over. I know first hand that getting out can be hard and scary but it's not impossible. -
I understand totally. I have gone from a 26/28 to an 8/10 and I still just see the old me in the mirror. Now if I look at a side by side I can see the difference of course but daily in the mirror not so much.

Just had to say I love you. Your posts are great. That is all.

Swimming post surgery
reree6898 replied to Journey4myhealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You should not swim until your incisions are healed. It can set you up for infection if they are not healed first. -
Your doing great. I know it's a wonderful feeling to say goodbye to the 300's. [emoji4]

Being cold is getting old!
reree6898 replied to highfunctioningfatman's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I freeze all the time, I literally have been wearing gloves to bed and I bought an electric blanket for my office at work. I spread it out on my chair then sit on it and wrap it up around me like a cocoon. Not much help in your line of work though. I have heard cuddle duds are very good though and can be worn under other clothes for warmth.
