I had my surgery on a Friday and took the week after off. I have a desk job. I was sore but towards the end of the 2nd week I was feeling better. Never realized how much getting up and down I did all day long lol was was a little uncomfortable. Looking back now I would have done 2 weeks.

I had surgery on a Friday June 12th and was on liquids until the following Wednesday. Im on puréed foods for 4 weeks. Then soft foods for 2 weeks. Which is this Friday (time to break out the crock pot!). After that I can do regular foods but very small portions. Of course I will continue with proteins first. Its amazing to see how doctors all have their own ways of how you are to proceed after surgery. Most important is to make sure the stomach heals .

2 week follow up appointment-feeling low
m.spod replied to MsTodd's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I just had my surgery on 6/12 and went to the dr on 6/17 and lost 5 lbs. I was told by the nut to start puréed foods for the next 4 weeks. My food in take at each meal can't exceed 2-4 tablespoons. I've seen different nut allow different things at this stage or time frames but maybe try and cut each meal just a little. It's a slow process but you will find what works best for u. A log will really help in your journey. Best of luck! -
I'm having a hard time coming up with puréed foods since I'm so picky. I think it's going to be ricotta cheese, oat meal and a lot of beans. My doctor has us on puréed foods for 4 weeks and I just started.

How long did you wait to start protein shakes?
m.spod replied to alindsey's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was able to do shakes out of the hospital. About less than a week just liquids, now I'm 4 weeks on puréed foods, 2 weeks soft then solids. It's amazing how all doctors are different with the diet.
