    Post sleeved Group Question

Thanks. Maybe it is a gift horse... :-) I hope it doesn't buck. Thanks for the feedback. I was very impressed with the hospitalization and the team. I'm also keen to suffer a bit without pain meds cause I hate being gorked on pain meds. I think they hinder outcomes when overused.

    Almost that time...

Get to the store! for your post op diet. Get a food scale, plastic strainer with small holes and measuring cup. I'm on full liquids and was sleeved on 6/16/15. I also got a pill crusher and Jello sf pudding readymade cups for my medications. The strainer was great for cream of mushroom Soup. I had a metal one and it clogged. Walmart or target had good prices. Got Greek yogurt and coconut Water (which has 640 ml of potassium) Chapstick for after surgery was my best friend. I would just say. Get to your feet ASAP. I was walking 3 hours after surgery. I did tolerate and put up with my pain because I did not want to be too gorked from the pain meds and not walking. This is also important as I was up about 10 times using the restroom to pee and hated bugging the RNs. Get a great nights sleep it the day before, or make down time. It actually seems to be getting easier. Good Luck! It will be ok.

    Here I am!

My name is Anna, my stats are 5'5" Staring at 272, cl liq diet 246, 3 days post op. 238. I was sleeved on Tuesday June 16, 2015. I was able to discharge the next day and was happy to do so. (My surgeon said I could stay if I wanted too) I feel that I was able to go because I did a lot of work before my surgery. I had 4 months for my insurance so I started walking. I was up to about 2 miles every other day. This did get hard on the clear liq. I did for 2 weeks but for the most part it helped. The day of my surgery @ 10:00am I was walking at 3pm and did every hour. Belched a ton but really have not had to much shoulder pain from the gas. I have been nauseated but never vomited. (Very close) I am drinking Water, cream of rice and Protein Shakes but I'm worried that their is going to be complications. I do get pain after 2 sips. Who has worried about a leak or other weird stuff. I'm really occupied with this going to good to be true.
