Hi I'm Linda and my sister was just speaking to a guy who had ba strip bypass and he told her about this website. I am having my gastric bypass on July 22nd 2015 a mere 3 months after I was put on the waiting list at the Alfred hospital. Totally free!! I am 105 kg and aiming for my previous weight of 65kg. I had a heart attack requiring a stent 8 years ago and triple bypass surgery 3.5 years ago. Took out private health cover then found I could do it as a public patient at the Alfred which is amazing so I biffed the private cover. Have to drink shakes for 2 weeks before surgery and unlike many on here I have been told I can have a piece of fruit for breakfast and a cup of salad for lunch and dinner. Looking forward to it.
