@@LxA, Thank you! I actually think I'm a pretty slow loser (compared to others that were in my Kaiser Wls class) but right now I'm eating 850 calories or less per day. I hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    When does hair loss begin?

I totally agree with Crazyplantlady. My hair loss began at around 3 mths and lasted till around 5 1/2-6 mths. I was terrified the first time I found a huge (and I mean huge like a baseball size) wad of hair in my shower and continued to be until it just kind of slowed down. I have always had super thick wavy hair so I'm use to some light shedding but that scared the crap out of me. Anyway... I'm just over 6 1/2 months out and I'm glad to say I'm back to normal, phew!!! I did take all my Vitamins with Biotin and ate all my Protein but I'm not sure if it really helps. You may be one of the lucky ones who doesn't suffer with this! Before and After Pics

Omg ladies, you are all such an encouragement to me. I am just beginning my WLS journey thru Kaiser So Cal and I know it's not going to be easy but seeing your before and after pics inspire me. Congrats and keep up the good work ????
  14. Hello, I'm a newbie here with Kaiser So Cal too. My PCP at la Palma is not WLS friendly and I'm looking for someone who is. My BMI is 38.6 with Asthma, Gout and hi-blood pressure. I am sched for the Kaiser weight management class on 7/20/15 and I'm not sure if it's the one that will lead me too the options program. Any info/advice you have would be soo appreciated. Thanks and good luck in your WL journey!!????
  15. I'm brand new to Kaiser but the closest locations are La Palma or Anaheim. Can anyone please provide me with there PCP's name and location (I'm willing to travel) because the doctor I chose told me he does not recommend WLS and said I would do better on a Kaiser WL program, even after I told him currently on Weight watchers. My BMI is 38.5 and I have Gout, Gerds and high blood pressure. Any info. Is appreciated!!! Thanks
  16. Hello, Brand new to this site but it seems like a valuable tool!! I am also brand new to Kaiser So Cal - La Palma and I need a PCP who will refer me to the Options program. I have a BMI of 38.5 with Gout, Gerds, Asthma and High blood pressure. My previous doctor of 10 years (with a different health ins. company) gave me a referral for WLS 2 years ago but my plan at the time did not cover it so now I have Kaiser So Cal and it is covered but I'm back to square one. I had my very first appt. today with my current Kaiser PCP and asked him for a referral and he told me to sign up for the weight management information class because they have good affordable weight loss programs. I informed him I am currently enrolled in Weight Watchers and he said nothing. Also gave him my weight loss history and a overview of my numerous weight loss attempts with various companies/ programs and still nothing. I am so ready to begin this new healthy chapter of my life and I would greatly appreciate anyone's information regarding there PCP or any advice regarding there experience with Kaiser So Cal and WLS. Thanks ???? Christy
