I was sleeved also on June 14th and I am doing alot better now. I seen my NP for a one week post op and was down 10lbs that was on Monday. Now I have lost more and am almost 270. Monday I was 276. I wasn't hooked to any oxygen. I'm used to oxygen because of emphysema I have. So it's not oxygen. This just happened after I got sleeved. Its not bad, just scary cuz I have never had a nose bleed. I had my surgery June 14th. Everything went good, I had lots of scar tissue before the stomach removal. But I'm almost outta here just waiting to be discharged soon. I'm not nauseated or vomiting and I still have my taste right now. Having an sugar free popsicle. I have the bloating and gas but I can handle it. When I go home I'm gonna walk in the house. Relax. Oh also I got allergic to something after i got to my room. Im itchy and red in some areas on my head neck behind my ears and eye lashes. But I've been given benadryl. Well, anyhow I'm glad i got sleeved! Take care everyone!????

Congrats! I had mine done too yesterday. Im sore and gassy but no nausea or vomiting. Just having breakfast right now. Hope u are doing good hun keep us updated.

I do not have to do a liquid diet until tomorrow morning. But today I am doing a liquid diet. June 14th is my surgery day and for some reason I am at ease. I want to be under my weight I was last Wednesday, before Tuesday morning. Anyways, whatever you have to do just to get the taste of food and then spit out is good. You can do this sleeve buddy!!

Mine is not on the same day, but the 14th. I know what to expect from watching YouTube videos and seeing my surgeon perform VSG. But yes, I am a little nervous. But I know that everything will work out for the better. Cuz this is what needs to be done to get me healthy. You will do good, just try to be as positive as you can! This is about you and living a good life. Just smile, it will be alright.

I am on a strict diet but I don't have to do a liquid diet except for the day before and nothing after midnight the morning of. My surgery is June 14th. I'm losing weight. Since the 31st of May I have lost 7 lbs

Mine is also June 14th. I have my pre op appointment tomorrow. I have been losing weight. I last saw the Dr. June 15th 2015. Ofcourse I have gained weight in a year. A total of 20lbs. But since I really buckled down and just started drinking shakes and very little food I have dropped 13.8 lbs. So I'm closer to what I was last June. I have one and got it after having my gallbladder removed two years ago. My belly button is weird looking cuz they went through the navel and I hate it also I'll have bouts of pain when standing for long periods of time. But since Im dieting it doesn't bother me anymore. Im gonna start a liquid diet today cuz I need to lose alot of weight before next Wednesday. I was told I only needed to do a 24hr liquid diet the day before and nothing after midnight the day of surgery. I think its up to the doctor if a liquid diet. Anyways, I know I can lose 19lbs by next week. Its just discipline for me not to eat all day and night and chose food that is healthy. Anyways,have a good day.

Mine is June 14th. I had my first consult June 15th 2015. I was scheduled for today, but it's best I get it on the 14th cuz my daughter getting out of school and my sister is gonna help me. So anyways, i need to drop weight. I gained alot in.a year. Consult was at 279 I was 300 about a week ago and 290 today. I need to get to 269 by atleast the 8th at my pre op appointment. Same here! The hospital's support group that I am a part of is very pro-bypass, so that doesn't help! I had an ER doctor a couple of years ago tell me that if I'd had bypass surgery, he would not be able to treat me. I'm not sure how the topic even came up, but that really freaked me out! What happens if you have an emergency and the facility you are taken to does not have a bariatric surgeon?I haven't had sleeve surgery yet. But from my understanding if you have an emergency an ER doctor can't touch you until you have contacted the surgeon to come to the hospital where you are at. Make sure you call the surgeon before leaving to Er. I've seen that my 600lb life and someone didn't call the surgeon and he was pissed. But on that show they mostly do bypass unless the doctor sees something wrong internally then sleeve is done. Sent from my LG-D321 using the BariatricPal App
