Hello all! I am 36 years old, 5'3", 231 lbs... and I am in the process of gating everything together my surgery which should be in September. I have never been a thin person, and over the years I have developed high blood pressure, high cholesterol, among other issues. I have been thinking a long time about weight loss surgery, it is a big decision. I have a lot of doubt, and I also have a lot of optimism about it. I have my psych visit on 7/27 and my last dietary on 08/03 and then it will be submitted to my insurance. After that it will take about 2 weeks to get approval, and then we will schedule for surgery 2-4 weeks after that. So realistically I am looking at mid September for my surgery... EEEEKKKK! It has not be come real people, this is happening. I am so ready to be healthy, hopefully get off my blood pressure medicine and just be a happy, healthier person all around. I have already started trying to do better in my life with eating, and other things... and have started a walking routine this week. As far as the surgery goes, my biggest concern or fear is blood clots. Although I have been put to sleep several times, 2 times being C-sections it still worries me. I will be posting as things progress for me, and hope to read a lot of positive stores from others and continue to get good vibes from this group!
