I walk 4 days a week, for about 30 minutes. I have fibromyalgia really bad so too much puts me in bed for days at a time. I'm still only eating about 800-1000 calories a day, 1000 is really pushing it. My dr wants me to be eating 1200 but it's just not possible. I usually have about 50 grams of Protein. I do not drink my protein. The shakes killed my stomach I tried every protein recommended by my dr and other people and then some, it all made me really sick. I had found some really good ones but they made me so sick I couldn't keep drinking them. Tuna, chicken, Greek yogurt, and cheese are my go to Proteins. I get around 50 carbs a day (Drs recommendation). I still drop pounds from time to time. But it's not like it was in the beginning. My dr actually told me at my one year appointment I could only lose 10 more pounds before they would start getting worried about losing too much. So I'm trying to just stay where I'm at. I don't really do anything in particular to lose, I just follow my Drs plan. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thanks for your reply. I am doing exactly what u do but I am able to drink my protein so i am taking in about 80g a day. I can not go to the 1200 cal either but since i was moved from 800 to 1200 i actually gained 11lb. I work out about 30 min every 2 days. Hmm,....I wonder what else I could do to make this weight-loss start up.... Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App

Great job!how often and how long do you work out? What is your daily calorie/protein/carb intake? I am 17mo post op and i have been on a stand still for more then half of it. Thanks for your time in advance Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App

I am over a year out and I still cannot eat a whole pork chop...i can not even imagine your pain. I am usually full from 1.5 eggs. Listen to your nutritionist and ask them for ideas to eat. There are a lot of delicious Protein drinks that satisfy your need for food because you should not even feel hungry. Your mind might tell you you are hungry but you need to listen to your stomach anymore first and foremost. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App

Pain by the largest incision
Bogarka replied to Bogarka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you, that may be an idea that I would ask about -
I was sleeved on 06-17-15 and from the first day on on my left side by the biggest incision where the stomach was pulled out I had this sharp pain like a knife is being turned into me. I told my doctor, the nurses and they all looked at me like I am dramatic. Here I am a year past ans still have the same pain. Did anyone experience this? I am planing to go back to the doc but feel like he will downplay it as they had the first day. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App

Haven't lost any weight in a week

Stalls happen. I usually had 4 week stalls. Just stop worrying and continue on your path Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App -
I hear basically everyone thinks after the surgery "what the hell did I just do" but after the pounds are rolling off and you feel better then u had for years, it was just all worth it. You have to be ready with your mind. The restrictions should be ok to do and not like some people on this site, a few days after the surgery they complain of the pureed food. You will for life time look at food differently. So be ready with every Fiber of your being before you take this step and then it will all be ok. Check out Instagram also, there are a lot of young people who have gone through VLS surgery and done well Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App

I feel your annoyance with the scale. I have been on a stand still for 2 months almost and it just bothers the heck out of me. I know I do not drink enough water but that is about it what I have not been fulfilling as my doctors Office have been asking of me. I had been advised by some members here to change up my exercise habit or even my food as long as I stay in the limits of the nutrition required. Hopeful that might help you?! As I look at your weight loss you are doing really good, so do not despair, you will be back on track soon:)

Hello, I had my sleeve surgery on June 17th, I have hit a halt to the weigh loss that is lasted a month now, I keep excising, taking in 100 gr of Protein, 700 cal, 80 or less carbs a day. Anyone hit this kinda plateau ? Besides mixing up the exercise, what else could I do to start this lb loosing business up again?
-
Thanks everyone for your advice's. This is my longest plateau, I had it a month out from my surgery for 2 weeks and than one week in month 3. My nutritional intake about 700 cal and 80 gr of carbs come from my doctors Office as a guideline as I visited him a month ago. I will definitely try the get away from my daily breakfast of yogurt and change up my meals where I still get my protein as needed but not through yogurt for a while, lets see:) I have been keeping my food pretty much the same since I was able to keep a good track of what I was eating since I still eat at my desk at work due to me not getting any breaks away from work. Thanks everyone for your kind words! Happy thanksgiving to you

12lbs in first 3 weeks?!? What am I doing wrong?!?
Bogarka replied to itstimealready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are not doing anything wrong. Give yourself time, I have fallen almost into a depression and was crying every day because I had these weeks of no weight loss and than I lost almost 1lb a day for a week. It is ok to have these short stops, right now I have been on a stand still for almost a month. Keep up your exercise, switch it up and your body will follow:) -
Congratulations! I have lost the same in the same amount of time and I always felt that I was a slow lb looser haha. I am sort of glad hearing that there are others out there also, because so far I only heard of people who have lost almost 100 or over 100 in the same amount of time. Keep up the good work, it is an absolute fun to be down in clothing sizes:)

I was just advised by the Doctors team that I can eat up to 80 g of carbs. I have not yet, since I do focus on protein intake of 80g or more. Vitamins have carbs, so keeping track with MyFitnessPal worked for me the best, just keep scanning foods.

I had 4 weeks off, but it is up to you how you feel and what type of job you have. I had to return with weight restriction since I sometimes have to lift humans up if they have fallen.

Constipation 4 days out. End of lucky streak.
Bogarka replied to emtscott54's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
you can always use Beneful in your Water. Otherwise a gentle depository can help if you feel uncomfortable, that is what my doctor suggested. I waited for the big moment 10 days and as the person before me said it, it was like childbirth hah. Keep up with your water intake and it will help you -
Salad is down he road in a few months.Protein and protein should all be on your mind. Eggs, tofu, yogurt, small curd cottage cheese are your soft foods at this time.all surgeons are different in their believes, you should still have access to their nutritionist in his / her Office. remember your stomach is still healing at this stage.
