  1. I'm 6 months post op from gastric bypass and have noticed that I am more hungry throughout the day. Any suggestions?
  2. It appears to be that I am in the dreaded stall. I started my journey on Oct 28th which was my surgery date. I weighed 243. I hit 199 in the middle of January but my losing has slowed and am now down to 195. How long have you guys been in the stall and when did you start losing again???
  3. Everyone loses differently. It depends on how much you weigh. People that way more, tend to lose more initially. I started my journey at 243 and am in a stall right now at 195 and I had surgery October 28th. Be patient, it will start to come off
  4. Miralax and I take a closer everyday to keep me soft. Worked like a charm
  5. Hello everyone. I am one month post op from gastric bypass and overall I've had a really good experience, except one thing. My stools are hard when I use the bathroom, and it got to the point where I have developed hemorrhoids. Initially I was taking miralax to help me go to the bathroom, which seemed to keep me going but now, I am straining when I go. Going doesn't seem to be the problem, however it's the hard stools which are troubling me. This is probably way too much information but I was wondering if anyone knew anything that I can take to help me out.

    Now postoperative!

The gas pains were the worst part of the surgery. Never really had any true pain but I was sore. The more walking you do, the better the gas pains will get. Just try to walk as much as possible
  7. So I'm a little over 3 weeks post op from gastric bypass and the scale says I lost 21 pounds however I really can't tell a difference when I look at myself. I can tell a difference in my pants in the fact that they are much looser but I really don't feel like I've lost 20 pounds. When could y'all tell a difference in your body when you looked at yourself?
  8. It also may be acid reflux since every time you eat you get nauseated.

    NSV

I started the pureed diet yesterday and had some scrambled eggs this morning. It felt good to actually chew some food, instead of slurping it. I only did a little because I didn't want to overdo it and did not have any issues with it. I'm excited about going into this phase and start eating more textured food. I have to admit while I have been on the liquid diet, I have not felt full and didn't feel that way this morning when I tried the eggs. I guess I will feel that way when I start eating more foods...

    Driving after surgery

My doctor said as long as you are not on pain medicine, you can drive.
  11. Hey everyone. I wanted to thank each and every one for your continued support with my gastric bypass journey. I am almost 2 weeks out and start the puréed diet next week. My doctor says I can have flaked fish, eggs, and other things. I was wondering what other flaked fish I can have and how did some of you prepare it and what other foods did you have during this diet? I am excited to start trying new things cause soups get tiring after a while. Also, I cannot muster putting things in a blender so I don't think I will be doing that.

    Post op bowel movement

5 days post op for me
  13. Whew guys, what a world wind the last couple of days have been. I got through the surgery but the toughest part is the gas pains. It was really bad on surgery day after surgery and it was so bad I stayed a extra day in the hospital and am now home. I am finding it difficult to sip all the time as I seem full. I am burping and passing gas the other way so I seem to be doing fine in that department. I hear my stomach making noises all the time though... Is that normal?

    Surgery day tomorrow!

Thanks everyone!!! I'm sure I will be even more nervous tomorrow morning
  15. I can't believe that my surgery is tomorrow! I'm excited and a little nervous. Not nervous about the surgery itself but about life after surgery. I did a week preop diet and did not cheat once. I'm so proud of myself for sticking to the diet. Never in a million years would I think I could have gone a week without eating. Please pray for me, and thanks for the support
