    When did you feel hungry?

Yes, I still can only eat 1.5 oz of solid food. If I eat to fast, I don't get the full feeling. For me that is a air bubble (burp). Just make sure u take ur time eating.

Roll call all who had surgery JUNE 2015

@@JosieAppleHead a good day is one that i have limitless energy, do my limited exercises, and do not have to stay up late to finish my water . A bad day means i am eating some Protein at 9ish because i do not have enough for the day, but can't take another shake or have to go to bed late so I can finish my Water. On these days, i am tired, so i usually fall sleep in the afternoon. While the nap feels good, I loose the time for water intake. I usually have a bad day once a week, so I guess they are getting less as time passes. I am a teacher, so I am sure once school starts up things will change. I have begun planning for that time. I have a new thermos that stays cold for 12 hours that I will use for my shakes. This way, I can leave it on my desk with my water and switch between them during the day. I am worried about getting my water in while I am teaching, but I am sure I will just get used to walking around with my water. I have not hit a stall yet, although i didn't loose for two different days due to cycle. I am just focusing on protein and water and NOT eating ANY carbs. If a protein has a carb, then of course, but it seems to be working. I miss salads and tortillas. I did make cheese chips for a crunch, but I only eat them about once a week. I have gooten my "salad" fix by just dipping my chicken thighs in light Cesar dressing. Cheesy, but it worked . What does your good day/bad day look like? Any suggestions??

Your Nut allows you bread? Bread and sugar are the number one reasons I am over weight. Potato's and rice are the number 2 reason. Lack of exercise is the third reason. I refuse to so much as look at a carb. All I eat is chicken, fish, shrimp and on occasion pork. I ate a beef hamburger (meat only) and looked at the calories and I won't touch another one. I can however eat a lean turkey burger. I miss bread but not enough to gain back what I lost so far and not enough to stall me. Try a few days without your carbs and see if that scale won't budge. I agree, bread is a no no to my nut also.

How many carbs are you getting each day? I have less than 40, usually 25-30. That might be one reason for the slower loss. I notice when I have closer to 40 the next day, my weight only moved a bit. My surgeon said to stick to animal Proteins. Well, his exact words were "if it was alive, you may now eat it." For him, nuts and salads are not in my plan until I am at 75% of my weight loss. I do miss salad and mixed nuts!

Have you tried marinating the chicken in something like fat free Italian dressing or cooking it in some chicken broth? With hamburgers I have to have mine medium instead of well done to be able to eat it. I like pork with fat free honey mustard dressing. We have a Nu Wave oven like you see on TV and it's well worth the money. You can cook your meat from frozen and it stays really juicy. My husband hates turkey but he will eat turkey cooked in the Nu Wave because it's not all dried out. My surgery was June 1st. I'm down 29 lbs since surgery. I haven't had any problems with any foods but I'm a band to sleeve revision and my sleeve is a little larger - he only took out 75%. I have marinated the chicken in multiple marinades, no luck. I have now switched to chicken thighs. I can do loose ground beef, but hamburger patties for some reason hurt. I can only eat 1-1.5 oz of meat anyways. I usually just make my husband dinner and take my meat from his plate lol.

    Taco

Eat taco meat with cheese chips. It takes care of the crunch you need. I love them!

I was sleeved June 8th. I have lost 42lb post op and 66 lb total. I am still on soft foods. I have not tried salad yet, I'm too afraid. A lot of meats are too dry (chicken breast, hamburger patties, pork). I am tired of shakes, but without then I can not get enough protein.

You know you lost weight when

Your husband gives you a hug and says "huh, that's new..." he was able to wrap his arms around me and over lap his arms. He even did a retake on the hug to verify!

How much did it cost me? UHC high deductible plan.

I have UHC West, and I paid nothing other than office copay of $30.

    June 8th sleevers?

I'm sorry to hear that. How many Protein shakes are you getting each day? I do find that I get more Water at night when I am relaxing. I am doing 1-1.5 shakes each day. I don't go back to work until August 7th, so I still have time to figure out my daily routine.

    How's everyone doing?

    Popcorn

That is a carb and a scratchy high calorie one at that. I say no, protein first. If you need something salty, have a hard boiled egg with done salt.

    Looking for my June 1 buddy's ?

I am down 38lbs since June 8th and 62lbs total. I have bit hit a stall yet, just slowed for a week. Usually 0.7-1.5lbs daily. But early last week it was slower. Only lasted 3 days. Still can't get down more than 2 oz of meat each meal. Chicken breast is way too dry. I had to switch to thighs. Lots of chicken, cottage cheese, eggs, and shakes. I bought some fish to try. My calories are always around 400-700. Still never hungry. We went on a camping trip, and I brought hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, cubed cheddar, chicken thighs, and shakes. It's all about the prep!

    Bariatric Card?

It's just a card that states you have had WLS and to please allow you to order off kids menu. It also states on the reverse side that you are not to receive an NG tube unless it is scoped. It should be kept in your wallet for emergencies.

Post op & eating in public!

Most restaurants have cottage cheese, so that is my stand by since I have not been clear for salads yet. I am only 3 weeks post op. Last night, my husband ordered fish and chips, so I just ate 2 oz of fish (I took of the breading). It was amazing to be out with him. Although I think the waiter though we were weird for only ordering one entree and a small plate.

    June Sleevers!

I am dealing with the emotions as well. I am a day ahead of you, and am on soft food right now. Right now my hubby is eating pizza and I am having chicken. The naps are becoming less and less, but I think my vitamins have a hand in that. Once we get to exercise, it should boost our energy as well. It is getting easier for sure!I am down 50lbs today with my pre op and post op combined. Total of 26lbs post op. Really, it is going to get easier, and we need to make the forever changes now. Keep up the good work!
