What did you wear at the hospital?
dollybee replied to lsmith715's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still had my catheter and drain in when I took the first 3 walks so I didn't care what I had on as long as it covered that mess up. LOL The morning they told me that I would be discharged, I changed into leggings and a t-shirt. -
Bra Showings Have Greatly Increased with Weight Loss
dollybee replied to IcanMakeit's topic in Rants & Raves
My bra keeps showing and I can't figure out why. I do feel like it is pretty annoying that it happens with the best of shirts/blouses. I don't think I'm ready for a new bra just yet, so it must be the shirts are getting too big. -
I'm 3 weeks out and never hungry. I keep thinking I'm ready to eat certain things and then after two bites I'm over it. I'm just now cleared for soft foods and I am too scared it will hurt my tum so I just stick to Protein shakes , Water and Aloe Gloe (aloe vera juice). I did try scrambled eggs and they didn't bother my stomach but it took me an hour to eat them.

First bad food experience :( - Guess it's too early for tuna
dollybee replied to Daisee68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was cleared for meats and quickly found out that chicken can WAIT! My tummy did not like it at all, although I think dark meat might be better than having chicken breast. -
The best shapewear site out there is: http://www.makemeheal.com/ I love their products but mostly use the compression tank.

At what age would you have Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) if you had a do-over?
dollybee replied to JustWatchMe's topic in The Lounge
I wish I would have done it at age 32. -
Was my revision exp normal?
dollybee replied to meyouus's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
My surgery was June 8th. By 8 days out I felt as if I didn't have surgery but those first 5 days were pretty rough. The abdominal pain overall was bad, and it varied from the left to the right side depending on how I was sitting or laying. I didn't come home with the drain but I can say that a lot of my discomfort was relieved after it was removed. I took Gas-X in the hospital, I chose to sneak it in past the hospital staff although I did ask the nurse if I could take it before I did. She told me NO since they claimed it might make me sick but when they left my room I took one with a few sips of Water and it helped a lot. Now that I'm past the pain, I really do feel like almost all of the pain I experienced post surgery was mostly gas related...VERY PAINFUL gas. I hope you're feeling better soon. DB -
Does anyone else have this problem?
dollybee replied to rebecca920's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I have a similar reaction when drinking Water but only if it is cold or if it is the first thing that I have when I wake up. When I drink warm water, it doesn't happen at all. I also drink something called Aloe Gloe (aloe vera water) and as long as it is room temperature it makes my insides feel amazing. I'm only 12 days out though, so I can only cross my fingers that this holds true. DB -

Don't feel like I had surgery
dollybee replied to Emmyandlisa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 11 days out and now that the gas pain is gone, I feel like I didn't have nothing done either. I'm grateful. I chose to drink Water as I felt comfortable doing even before getting out of the hospital. After they forced me to drink almost 10 ounces of barium swallow all at once, less than 12 hours after surgery, they had a hard time convincing me to sip an ounce an hour. LOL! My doctor laughed when I said the same thing to her and agreed that 3-4 ounces every half hour, weren't going to harm my stomach. I feel hydrated and not hungry most of the time. I'm happy with weight loss so far and just hope that when I switch to solid food that I FEEL my stomach. DB
