I'm on my 6th day of my pre op diet... My surgery is in 5 days & I have my period. I feel like a Water balloon from all the fluids. ????

I checked with my surgeon & they said no red dye 3 days before surgery.

So it's ok till then. Thank you!

I am starting my pre op phase. I know not to have red dye but my husband asked if purple was ok...grape crystal light. Anyone? Yes? No? Maybe so?

I have a coworker that lives in the next county over & hers was clear liquids & protein shakes.

I have only told my close family very very close family/friends. I know that if my siblings find out they'll use it as away to make fun of me on facebook. -
November 11th is my surgery. Anyone have theirs around then? I start my prep on Halloween. Protein shakes 4 times a day for 10 days & 2 cups of veggies which are optional. What is everyone else's prep diet?

My surgery is 11/11/15. I have to start a 10 day pre op diet...good ol nothing but protein shakes...on Halloween
