I am just wondering what all vitamins everyone takes. I'm pre op & totally obsessed with trying to figure out a good vitamin cocktail. I know people whom only take a multi vitamin. I want to try & get everything I need to start vitamins before surgery.

4 weeks? Here we only do 10 days -
My story I guess isn't very long. I started noticing that I was bigger then other kids in late elementary school. Between 8 & 10. Others noticed too. My brother would stop them but then when I'd make him mad I'd get the mean comments from him. I went through high school which was h__l I was diagnosed on my 18th birthday with bipolar & forced onto Lithium. I gained a ton more weight. I was in a size 26 jeans. I isolated. I lost some of the weight but then got pregnant with my oldest. Lost 50 lbs after she was born but the got depressed & went back up. That's pretty much my life. I never thought this surgery was an option until my co worker had it done then others told me they had it done. So my friend whom is also having it done helped me get connect. I so badly want to play with my 2 daughters without so much pain.

I didn't think it was an option because of my insurance & because I live in a semi small town & never knew 1 person that had it done let alone where to go. It was all unknown. -

I am having so many different emotions lately. In a week I meet with my dietician the in September I'll take my last class which is surgery prep, hospital time & post op. After that class I will schedule with the surgeon. If he gives the all clear then everything will be sent to my insurance then we wait if approved schedule surgery. All of that has been going through my head. I've done the omg omg os this real...I look at non plus size & I wanna be excited but instead I wanna cry. Is anyone else a ball of emotions?

Hi! My surgery is suppose to be in Sept/Oct. I'm trying so hard to get on track & eat the way I'm being told to & just doing everything to prepare but I feel like I'm failing. I'm low income so my husband & I looked up the Vitamins for after...let's just say my husband almost fell over. He's a little over dramatic. I can't afford a gym but am having no luck getting a regular amount of exercise. I wanna cry. My family is supportive but don't fully get it. My husband is a twig that doesn't have to exercise or eat right so he really doesn't get it. My best friend is a month behind me in the program but she's started the program a ton of times. She acts like its nothing. I do NOT want to lose a bunch of weight & then gain it back or ruin my body by not taking the vitamins & not eating right. My 9 yr old daughter is the only one that even tries to understand.

I have been looking on craigslist. I pout because a month before I even though gastric bypass was an option I gave away my elliptical because my PCP told me to stop using it due to knee pain. I could kick myself for that. I have kids & the gyms around here that have childcare are $30-40 a month just for the membership. They also close around lunch time till 4pm. I'm trying to be creative.

I don't think I myself have completely wrapped my head around all this. I have been to the local support group just sucks that its once a month so if I miss it well then I miss it. However I did sign up for a group that meets every week...Mood & food. It sounded like they were talking about me so I figured it'd be helpful. I don't start till September though. My husband tries to understand what's going on in my head but it does no good. My best friend is in the same program as me & looks at me like I'm crazy when I start rambling. I have bipolar & anxiety so they're not completely off there. Ooh I just had my 3rd class & I'm down 6 lbs.

I'm not buying yet just trying to figure out what I want to use. Thank you! -
How is everyone prepping for very fast size changes? I was told to buy a small wardrobe in different sizes. My surgery should be in October so I've only been collecting fall/winter clothing. Love thrift stores!

I know the vitamins are a must but I was told it didn't have to be the ones specifically for bariatric patients. They gave us a list & we can make up our own cocktail to get everything on the list. Soooo I've been trying to figure that out.
