Some times u feel Like a Fill sometimes you dont.

I have been having the same problems! It is driving me absolutely insane! I am debating getting a fill, my DH thinks I might need one and I am not sure. I can eat something and get full and then turn around and have the damn munchies!! Like a craving for chocolate or some chips!! :faint: Yesterday I think I grazed all day...muching on this and that and I think it's because my DH was out of town and I was bored and doing laundry all day! But when it came to dinner I did pretty good! I made spaghetti for the family and I baked zucchini and put the sauce over it instead of having the pasta but then I got the munchies! I put it off though and went out on the back porch and exercised...:clap2: Yeah me! But like this morning....I have had 3 cups of coffee, bought Jack in the Box for breakfast...an Extreme sausage sandwich and ate the one egg and 2 sausage patties and threw away the bread and now I am working on a Lo-Carb Monster drink...and I know when it comes down to lunch...It will get stuck! Is that because I am still full or because I have tightened? And if I am full...I don't feel it because I am hungry by lunchtime OR do I think I am hungry BECAUSE it is lunchtime???? See that is my dilema...So do I get the fill or not??? And if I do get the fill...should I try a liquid diet for a couple of weeks (protein drinks)....I am actually tired of figuring out what to eat! All meat gets stuck and I stay away from breads and pastas but cereal and oatmeal are fine. And everything that I crave is the crap that goes down VERY easily....:angry . I am glad to see that I am not the only one!
  2. What is up with this? I know that right now my restriction is ok and I guess at a good level because I can have a meal and not make it through all the way or something gets stuck and I quit eating...the normal business. But today for some reason I couldn't get all of my lunch down which was a small piece of meatloaf and a small helping of mashed potatos and then I got the munchies and I have had about 4 of those popcorn cakes... . Is it because of the texture of the foods that makes the difference in how easy it goes down? Just curious. Does anyone else experience this? AND I don't really feel full...:phanvan But I know that I don't need a fill yet.
  3. Ok...I think I am tired of trying to figure out stuff to eat and making the wrong choices and getting bored. Being that it is this long since I have been banded (09-05) would it be weird to go on a liquid diet? Like shakes...not Slim-Fast (yuck) but the other protein shakes. I need something different. It seems the other stuff isn't filling me up and I don't want a fill right now because I am filled just enough that I am not miserable. And it seems to me that it might be a little easier for me since I won't have to make a decision on what to eat but just what flavor to mix!! Does this make any sense to anyone? I thought about trying this for a few weeks to see how I do with it.

    FAVORITE dance SONGS!!! for wedding!

A slow song that we played was "From This Moment" by Shania Twain. Any Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill...I usually don't listen to country but I like the older songs by them. It's hard to pick for weddings.

    What is my problem?!?!?!?!

OH MY GOSH!!! ME TOO, ME TOO!!!! You are not alone sister!!! I stopped exercising about 2 months ago and stopped losing and got stuck with about 2 or 3 pounds bouncing back and forth!!!! I got on my exercise equipment last night and about DIED! :faint: So! I am trying to get back on track but it is hard and in the end will be worth it and we both know that. Good luck!
  6. OH Wheetsin!!! NIN~~~Love them!and Closer has got to be the best song to have sex to...ever!!!! :faint: :heh: Anyways...I love The Cure, Lacuna Coil, HIM, Evanesence, Nox Arcana and anything that has a haunting melody to it I absolutely love. I do like the Top 40 music like Kelly Clarkson, All American Rejects, Gwen Stefani, Black Eye Peas etc....But my favorite has to be the ones I mentioned before. And I would have to list classical masterpieces up there too! Violins and a cello are so pretty to hear. I can not do country anymore...blah!

    Had to share!

:faint:  :Banane10: :spider:  :opps2: :frusty: I just gave into a craving and now I feel like crap and had to share. I went to Sonic and got a strawberry Cream Pie shake...and yes...it's gone!!! :Banane09: I know, I know. I don't do it all the time but now I feel like crap for doing it. Maybe it's just me coming off my monthly visit from the "Bitchinator" :drama: . So I think I might be able to forgive myself. But then again that can just be an excuse and not a good reason. "I promise I will not do this again!" Anybody else eaten something today that they wish they wouldn't have??

1st Memory of my Problem Foods

This came up last night with a girlfriend of mine and in high school I always thought I was fat compared to the other girls. I weighed in my senior year at 130lbs (OMG! to be that now!) and to me that was fat because all the other girls weighed 110lbs!!! Silly right? At the time though high school was big deal and image was everything. But I still got the guys...no doubt in that! But as I got older and got married in 1993 and then pregnant...I gained a bunch of weight, 220ish, with my son and then I got divorced in 1995 and lost that weight and went down to about 145-150 and then I was doing really good until I married again and got pregnant AGAIN! And I gained a bunch with her and then I started going to the gym and dropped down to about 215 and then that stopped and I got aggrevated and went to Jenny Craig and got down to 200 (never broke the 100's) and then that came to a halt...I gained more and then finally had this done. I don't relate eating and food to anything bad in my childhood. I think with me it has to do with getting moving and motivated and putting down the food!!! Bad choices and loving the flavor too much and the enjoyment of a good pastry!!! Or too many fruit smoothies and cokes. So to narrow it down...my weight gain is fueled by being lazy and addicted to sweets!

    Exercise Equipment

I have an elliptical machine, exercise bike, an AbLounge, a Pilates Reformer, free weights and exercise tapes. I don't use them as often as I should but I enjoy all of them!!! We have an extra room that was added onto our house and I have made it into my own little personal gym.

    Had to share!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I didn't feel as if I was the only person that did this or that it was really the end of the world I just got really pissed that I did it and the guilt really got to me! I just had to vent about it! I felt better after I posted this thread. Getting it off my chest and seeing it in writing made me feel better soon after. So will it happen again? Maybe, maybe not. But as bad as I felt the other day when I did it I am sure it will be awhile before I do a repeat! Maybe if I get another craving I can make a better choice instead of the one that I made the 1st time!
  15. Well I am a soup freak so: Chinese: Won Ton Soup Italian: Any Soup there...Minestone, Pasta Fagioli, etc... Seafood: Gumbo, chowder or bisque Even steakhouses....potato, broc & cheese :hungry: Always have the salad and never the bread! The only reason I choose to have soup when I go out is to avoid dealing with a PB in public...I save that for home! woohoo....fun. :twitch:

    Your favorite banded breakfast.....

Breakfast is usually one of the following choices: grits with low-fat cheese McDonald's sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin without the cheese and muffin....and no hashbrown!! Oatmeal Special K bar banana or some type of fruit. eggs over easy (2) Bowl of cereal coffee - always! Just depends on what I am in the mood for! I am a breakfast person so I never go without breakfast even if it takes me half an hour to eat one egg! It's the only way I can function the rest of the day.

    I want a diet coke

This was an issue that I had and this was asked awhile back by someone else in an earlier thread and everyone has different opinions on the subject. I stopped cold turkey from all of it and I was fine. And then I went to get a fill and I asked my doctor about it. I told him that my husband and I go out with our friends on the weekend and that I would like to able to have a Gin & Tonic or a Jack and Diet coke instead of maybe a fruity, sugary drink made with juice and high in sugar. I told him that it was a big discussion on this message board and he looked at me and shook his head and told me not to believe everything I read and that it was ok to have a carbonated drink every once and awhile (not everyday, all day) and that it wouldn't hurt me. If anything, he told me to stay away from the regular sodas full of sugar and not to gulp them. Let them lose some of their carbonation or let them water down a bit and it would be fine. Still to this day, if I have one...that's just it...one and that is about once a week. I stick to my Propel, Vitamin water, Crystal Light, plain water, coffee, tea and milk. And when we do go out...I sometimes opt for the Bloody Mary or Martini instead of the Gin & Tonic just to keep from having to burp in public!!! Common courtesy prevails... . So...talk to your doctor and get his advice and go from there. This is what my doctor told me..."Always ask me first. Never test it on your own." Best advice he has given me. :gluck:

    Can you feel your port

Yep, I can feel mine....since the day of surgery. Mine is located about maybe 3 inches down from the bottom of my sternum. Has never bothered me unless I bump it. I catch myself touching it or rubbing on it...kind of like when I was pregnant and I would rub my belly without thinking about it! I guess you could say my port is my new baby...:biggrin1: ! Weird?

    Your favorite banded supper.....

Usually taco night at my house is my favorite! While the hubby and kids are eating tacos (all the way) I am eating the veggies and refried beans (fat free) with sour cream (fat free), cheese (fat free) and taco sauce with out the shell. Or going to any restaurant and having their soup....love, love, LOVE soup! It's my favorite! :hungry:

Things that make you go Hmmm...

I know what you mean...On one hand you want to be noticed for your hard work on losing the weight but on the other hand when they do say something it makes you think...."What the hell was wrong with me before?" It makes you have mixed emotions in a way.

    I'm soooo hungry!!!

I know how you feel!! Lately I have been sooooo hungry! Or nothing seems to satisfy me! I can have a bowl of cereal and then 30 minutes later want something else. And I know that I have restriction but it's the hunger that gets me! It's like I am getting enough to satisfy the hunger pangs but after awhile I am famished!! When I don't think I should be. It confuses the hell out of me!!! I have been bouncing around the same 4 pounds and can't seem to get them off!!! GRRR! :grouphug: I think I might start drinking water when I feel hungry....maybe I just need some good ol' water!!!! Could be, who knows!!! :faint: I don't feel the "plopping" but I do feel like just eating everything until I am satisfied! Cravings are bitch too! And so are them golfballs! Still get those too...:think
  22. I totally agree with you Wheetsin!!! I had my mother of all people say things like..."I couldn't do the surgery if I couldn't have what I want!!!" And my response is..."No one said I couldn't have it at all, just that a smaller portion or just a bite is fine." We had a BBQ and all I had meat-wise was one grilled wiener and then the rest of my food was veggies (dad grilled eggplant and squash...yum!! :hungry: ) But I didn't have the chips and dip, potato salad, ribs, sausage or chicken but I did have Beans. It's all in how you CHOOSE to eat. There might be things that you can eat and things you just can't get down!! But do not let one person make one comment and change your mind about something like this. Not everyone has the same experience, everyone is different. You can still have some foods that you love just smaller portions!! Or a bite to satisfy the craving of the flavor!:heh: With that said though, it doesn't mean to go out and have a mikshake because it goes down easier....all those calories still count. You need to make the decision for YOU and not anyone else. Listen to what they say, and acknowledge it but do not let it sway the outcome on the decicion you make on YOUR health. :gluck: But to answer the question of taking a vacation from the band...I have and it was fine. I went to Chicago, I had a deflation before I went so I would not be miserable of suffer a PB and when I got back I had a fill. It might not be for everyone to do that but for me it worked out. And I would do it again and will when I go to New Orleans in October.

    How Often Do You PB

I have PB'd only once but have had that 'stuck golfball' feeling quite a few times and that was probably from eating too fast or not chewing well enough. :faint: That hurts! But it's all part of it!
  25. What is up with all the boards??? Everytime I try to go into one or go to the next page, the screen is all scrambled. Anyone else having this problem?
