  1. I am also 9 days post op now and finally feeling pretty good again. I was swollen like a beach ball until last night. This morning it finally came down significantly! Hooray! I am also no longer having the spasms. Hang in there it really does get better.

This has definitely been a tougher recovery than I anticipated. However, I am still glad I chose this and am excited to have my new tool helping me change my life!

  2. I got my band last Thursday and thought I would rebound as quickly as I did after having my gall bladder removed. Boy, was I wrong. I went back to work Tuesday. Also worked yesterday that involved ten hours of driving. I was sure to get out of the car and walk every hour. Unfortunately, I pushed to hard and am back home today with a belly blown up like a beach ball. I plan to fully recover before I try that again.

I'm still glad I had it done...I just want this recovery mess over with. We will all get there. :)

  3. I am having those same pains. I am waiting for surgeons office to open and ask them about it. But, in the meantime I started taking chewable pepto visual and that has seem to mute the pain associated with those, what I'm calling them, spasms. I still know they are happening but does not hurt as much. I haven't thrown up since the first day. But, have been really close on many occasions. Hang in there, I hear it gets better. I HOPE it gets better!!

  4. I just had mine on June 11th and am going through the same thing. I can hardly get Water down and when I do I get a spasm that hurts. Not to mention the awful gas build up. I'm sure it is all part of the healing process, I just want to get past this part. I will be interested to hear what others have to say about it. When will we start feeling better?
