What's your "weight loss pet peeve?"
Jennna replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've lost 50lbs in 2.5 months. My biggest peeve is when people dont mention it or pretend they didnt notice it. It's FIFTY effing pounds!! How the hell do you not notice that?? Also my "best friend" who hasnt said a good word about my weight loss at all, but will compliment other people for losing 3 lbs. Really? -
Too much watermellon 2 days ago. I figured it was basically water. WRONG! I honestly thought I was either going to die or pass out. The cramps and sweats were enough to land me in the bathroom for about an hour. I had lost 2 lbs walking out of that bathroom. I'm still not fully recovered from it. Whoever says dumping with the sleeve is a myth, I dare you to try it.

Post op & eating in public!
Jennna replied to maxinee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
3.5 weeks post op and my sleeve is made of stainless steel titanium straight from the veins of Superman himself. No joke. Damn thing doesn't reject anything. The only good thing is, I usually feel full quite quickly so I stop eating. In reply to the straw comment, straws are the only way I can drink my fluids and my dr actually encourages their use. Lets remember that all drs are different and they each have their own instructions; what works for me may not work for you...and that is totally ok -
I was told one month out.

Hey all! I'm having a bit of an issue that is scaring me to death. Sleeved on June 8th with an umbilical hernia repair. All went absolutely fine and was home on the 10th. Following my drs/NUT's orders, ok maybe not drinking as much water as I should, but generally doing everything told. I had a few pains here and there but nothing major at all. Didn't even take pain meds at home. The only major problem was constipation (driving me nuts!!!!) But lately, I've had a small kinda burning pain on my right side, close to my belly button. It's not permanent; it comes and goes. It is there when I get up from sitting/lying down and for about a minute afterwards. It's also there when I am in bed and roll over or when I am sitting in a certain position and move around to get comfy. There is very slight swelling but no redness and I haven't had a fever. Nor have I had any problem eating. I am petrified of having complications. Can anyone tell me if they felt like this too? Thanks so much in advance!

I have been feeling a kind of burning pain whenever I stand or turn when lying or sitting down. I dont feel it when I'm walking unless I stretch. It has scared the crap outta me.

I feel the same way so I stop eating when I get the burpies. In my mind, my body is telling me to stop. -

Love this topic!! Ok here's my list... -SHOPPING IN NORMAL SHOPS! -Sitting comfortably without needing to hide my tummy. -Sitting in chairs with armrests and not watching the fat spill out from the sides. -Not being breathless when I do any kind of physical activity. -Taking full body pics instead of face selfies. -Walking down the beach in my bikini. -No double chin! -
Anyone else a post-op symptom hypochondriac?
Jennna replied to NoBsVs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello! This is my first post on this amazing site I had surgery exactly 1 week ago today and I am sure that I must have a blood clot because there is pain in my calf.... And then I feel a stingy pain in my tummy and am sure I have a leak. It's a horrible thing to always think like this but I am so relieved that I'm not the only one...or than I'm losing my mind!
