Pre-Op Liquid Diet
mtraverse replied to StefanieSparklePants's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will make it even though in a few days it will feel like you wont! Just push past it and keep going! It's the worst part! Sugar free Popsicles were my savior at this time in the process! Good luck with it! -
As of today I am 176.2lbs thank you A little late I am sorry! But my surgery day was Tuesday so I try to keep doing it on Tuesdays!

My insurance at the time I started this process almost a year ago didn't require weight loss but the changes I made in my diet to help get to this point after surgery. I can't imagine having this surgery and eating after not gaining the knowledge I have now I didn't have then! I did lose a total of 51lbs including 2 week pre-op diet! Good luck to you and welcome!

Welcome -
I feel your frustration and I think it would be safe to say that most people get frustrated with it! I see that a lot in posts. I think they have all said it, go see your NUT and ask their advice! That's my advice! Chin up and weight down sounds great to me! ????

I find the adrenalin gets me moving faster! -
I have bought a couple from Amazon and some from a vitamin shop/ hi health store.

You will be awake going into the surgery. Cather placed when you are asleep so shouldn't be too bad, and it doesn't hurt when it's in! Hope that helps! Good luck

I am right there with all of you. I am down 26lbs from surgery on May26th. I have been doing all the same things and am satisfied with that loss. I just hope it continues and that I can stay strong and focused! I think 22 pounds in this amount of time is great! Just keep it up and I am sure we will get there!!! ????

I think it's wonderful and amazing! Great work! I think your surgeon will be thrilled! Great work, keep it up and keep positive!

I am ravenous the last couple days. Craving sugar like mad. I have stayed on sugar free with candy and Popsicles, but I am having a very hard time with it. I am blaming my monthly cycle for this as I am sure this is the problem! Its the first time that I have had a struggle this hard since long before surgery which was 8 weeks ago. Any tips from the experts? I hope it stops tomorrow because I am going over my calories with this too, around 800 the last two days!

This was exactly like my house! Except there was ALWAYS chocolate too! All the women in my family fight out weight issues but no one as much as I do! Hence my new sleeve! -
Pre-Op Liquid Diet
mtraverse replied to StefanieSparklePants's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is super hard to do the clears diet for two weeks before surgery! That alone will make sure I stay true to my sleeve and diet for LIFE! I only lost about 8 pounds those two weeks so no worries, the surgery is just around the corner and the goal is in sight! Stay true, you can do it! Hang in there! -
1 day away from surgery
mtraverse replied to lifeofreilly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope that is the last day of two week clear liquids you are complaining about! ????. All will go well as long as you keep on your pain meds, and walk ALOT!!!! -
You know you lost weight when

When people you haven't seen in a while don't recognize you! -
Wow! Some harsh words here too! I would agree that some people who are looking for support get slammed at times. Also those that post are not all supportive in the way they go about it. Everyone needs to remember we are all on the same journey just taking different paths to get there and we will cross paths at times. In the end we all need support from those who have been there and a little less judgement at times would be great. It has kept me from posting a couple of things because I didn't want to get slammed for having sugar free sweets when I was craving them soooooo badly! Just my thoughts!!!????

When will eating become a positive experience again?
mtraverse replied to Samkay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I def. do not have the same symptoms. Sorry to hear that. I was sleeved on 06/26 and I can drink water easily and protein drinks no problem. I would think that's not normal but my doc also gave me Zofran for nausea when I need but have not. Sorry to hear about your word. Good luck with your appointment. -
