    Guacamole

I like it with pork rinds, spicy or plain. They are great with other dips too and add protein!
  6. Exactly 6 months Post op, and down 101 lbs!
  7. Agree with others have said above, cut the carbs, try going without the bread or crackers higher Protein will keep you full longer. . I personally put myself on a timed eating schedule and don't allow myself to snake in between. I eat every 3 1/2-4 hours and drink Water in between, so i never give myself the opportunity to get too hungry and want to graze. Typical work day for me. 8am-Protien shake 12:30- Hard boiled egg or lunch meat or left over protein from night before, today i packed 3 good sized baked shrimp. 5pm-chicken stir fry/ steak and mushrooms/ pork chop and zucchini/ chicken fingers or fish sticks (guilty pleasure, 1 maybe 2 times a month) 9pm- I like to munch on pork rinds, or if i feel i had enough protein that day i make some popcorn (my Carb guilty pleasure) I am no expert, I am going on 6 months post and am now down 97 lbs. I am very happy with my results and am sticking to this eating plan for as long as it works. Good luck!

    Steak

I think I started with steak around 8 weeks and now i eat it at least once a week. Obviously do small bites and chew really well, with steak, and really any meat, if there is a piece that is not wanting to break down when i chew i just spit it in my napkin instead of swallow. I didn't read anything telling me to do that, it just seems to me that it may be harder for my sleeve to digest it when i cant event chew it. Love me a good medium rare rib-eye!

    Isopure protein shake :(

I use isopure unflavored and add half a packet off sugar free hotcoco mix and a splash of sugar free hazelnut surup. Or isopure chocolate (50 grams protein!) and some pb2 powder. Those are my two favorite mixes.

How long was your longest stall?

I've had a couple stalls. The longest lasting 3 weeks. Then all the sudden I'll loose 15lbs in 2 weeks. It's crazy. Just stick to your diet and exercise and in the long run it will pay off. I'm 5 months out and down 92lbs. If the scale stresses you out then stay off it! You notice the changes is many other ways! Good luck!
  11. Ricotta cheese with marinara sauce and melted motts. Deli chicken meat rolled like an enchilada with beans inside melted cheese and enchilada sauce on top. Chicken, kidney beans, onion and a lil diced pickel and some cheese crumbles with your fav salad dressing. Broccoli cheese soup with diced up ham in it (add a lil flavorless protein power). Turkey lunch mean rolled up with avocado and bacon. Roast beef rolled up with some provolone Dip it in a lil mayo and horseradish. Make your own sushi without the rice mix a lil crab with mayo and saracha add avocado and cucumber roll in seaweed. Fried egg with a lil sugar free syrup. Cottage cheese with a lil cool whip and sugar free jello sprinkled in... There are so many options. Get creative! Good luck!
  12. I personally have been adding spices, herbs, salsas and hot sauces to my food since basically day one. Get creative with your food try different low carb recipes add lots of different flavor, I am 4 months out and have never felt deprived or bored with my food. If you're afraid of it hurting your stomach then only add a little at first, but for me spice and seasoning never upset my sleeve. Good luck!

    CHOBANI FLIPS

I personally do not count calories or fat. Just carbs and sugar. My goal is always 0 carbs a day but i probably eat about 10-20 a day. Yogurt has so many carbs and sugar, even light ones, to me it is not worth the carbs. My suggestion is Cottage cheese, full fat has less carbs and sugar. If you wanna make it sweet add a little bit of Cool whip, again, don't get the fat free or light, they add sugar to it, regular is your best bet. and if you want to add a flavor, sprinkle a little bit of sugar free Jello powder on it. I use to be a huge yogurt fan, but haven't touched it since the surgery, the nutritional value just seems off to me. Oh and of course add a little flavorless Protein powder to anything to boost your protein, it goes well with my cottage cheese concoction, i don't put a ton, just a bit, a few extra grams of protein is always good! This is all just my opinion and what i have done since my surgery, hopefully it helps?
  14. I did the antacid thing as well, it helps but then like you said it just comes back after a bit, Eating a little something (a couple bites of cheese, pork rinds, lunch meat) got rid of the nausea (hunger) for good though... or at least a few hours. I am over 4 months out now and it is just become routine, eat every 4 hours of so and i don't get an overwhelming feeling of being sick and i stay fueled up as well.
  15. This is exactly how I feel. Everyone said I wouldn't feel hungry, but I know when I need to eat And like you said, I feel empty. At first I was eating every 5-6 hours but since the 3 month or so mark I have started eating more like every 4 hours and that helps. Good to hear I'm not the only one.
  16. I thought I was dying the first week after, I felt like no one told me how painfull it was, I thought something was wrong and it was the end for me.... This passes! Use gas-x strips for sure, but honestly it just takes time, a couple weeks out i started feeling good as new and back to normal, stick to the diet plan they give you and dont try to jump out too soon on foods, soon you will be back to normal and the rusults will make the first few days of pain well worth it. As for drinking, just do the best you can, I would mark my water bottel with a marker and make goals for myself on how much i wanted to drink that hour, Do what you can, it will get much easier to drink later on.
