What I've found that has helped me the most today with the gas pain is rocking myself in a rocking chair and using a heating pad on my belly. It has done wonders for me today. Yesterday I was so miserable from the gas I kept thinking to myself WTF have you gotten yourself into? Lol I do normally have a very high pain tolerance but the gas pain is like nothing I've ever felt before! And it just gets stuck and it's hard as hell to get that shit out.

I was sleeved on Thursday too! I've had terrible gas pains and the only incision that bothers me is the one in my belly button. I've burped several times and that helps some but still haven't passed gas or had a bowel movement. I'm hoping by the end of the day or tomorrow I get some bathroom relief. I've been walking my tail off and it helps to get the gas moving around. So I'm thinking today is going to be the day! Sending prayers your way for a speedy recovery!

    July Sleevers! Let's chat!

I'm scheduled to have my sleeve surgery on July 9th at 1:00pm. I am 5'9 and 269. My doc suggested I lose 5-10 lbs before surgery and the only pre op diet I have to follow is 2 protein shakes and water the day before surgery. He did recommend that I focus on 3 meals a day eating fruits/veggies first, then protein, dairy and starches last if I'm still hungry. I have to admit I'm incredibly nervous that I'm going to be in for a HUGE shock after surgery since I'm not having to follow a very strict pre op diet. I'm trying to mentally prepare as much as possible but I'm starting to think not being on a strict diet before surgery is setting me up for failure after surgery.
