Great News Michaelene!!! I am 4-weeks post-op and everyday it really does get better. I hated hearing that pre-op from people & didn't really believe it but it is true... Keep up the awesome work, Lisa!

My husband for dinner asked me to get hoagies and pizza for the kids and I LOVE pizza it was terrible so I locked myself in my room and drank a huge protein shake then went to bed early smelling all the foods around me and having a hunger I cant seem to fill these past 3 days is really taking a toll on me I think ill just sleep the weekend away and pray monday (surgery day) comes quickly i am a sad hungry cookie right now

Maybe go for a walk to get out of the house and away from the smells?

I'd have had to go for a walk or something or asked them to go out to eat! I was on a clear liquid ( NO calorie ) pre-op diet for 7 days....back in 2009. Everyone at my house thought I must have been abducted...I wasn't EVER around at meal times. Hang tough! Only three more days!

The first couple days I was sore and on pain meds. Very difficult for me to drink very much so I focused on drinking protein in clear form. Day 3 was last day on pain meds for me. I really felt pretty well considering I had just had major surgery. Day 5 I went to support group meeting, felt well enough to go and my husband drove. I felt tender getting up and down but was able to move about the house pretty well. Day 6 I ventured to the drugstore (drove myself) and walked a bit...every day it got better. Finally drank my goal of 48 ounces at day 11? Been at 64 ounces since day 14 or so going forward.

  8. Same here my Doctor was to submitt my prior Authorization Friday June 5 I called insurance yesterday to check and they had nothing on file so I e mail my surgeons PA and she has yet to reply and let me know why she stated it had been submitted but the insurance has nothing to review. I am so nervous and driving myself insane I need this so badly but I keep dreaming I get denied this is so nerve racking I was more calm and had less anxiety about giving birth.
