I had Gastric sleeve surgery August 5th and since then have lost 81 pounds. My problem is I'm having a difficult time trying to find what to eat. I was throwing up everything I ate and was malnutritioned. The doctor did an ex ray while I swallowed a pill just to see if there were any obstructions. There weren't but he said my stomach is smaller than usual and the food is getting stuck in the bend of my stomach. When the doctor showed me my stomach on the ex ray it looked like a vein it was so small. Now I'm having a difficult time trying to get 70 grams of protein a day when some days food will stay down with pain and some days I throw up everything all day even the protein shakes if their to thick. Has anyone had this problem? If so please tell me what you did to get 70 grams of protein a day.

I am 5 weeks out and still have a hard time with soft or puree food staying down. I'm drinking my protein and water but sometimes my protein will come up too. Has anyone had this issue. -

I'm starting to keep small amounts of food down now everyone. But it's only 2 ounces of food. If I eat the slightest amount over 2 ounces I start to throw up. So I guess 2 ounces is it for me. -

The doctor said that it is just taking longer than most. But I sent an email pressing my concerns for this and want to make sure I'm ok. Because if no food is staying down that means I'm not getting any nutrients and I don't want to have issues with that. I'm feeling weak now and drain. -

I have another question. I am in my 4th week now and still cannot eat puree nor solid food. When I try to eat either I throw up and I noticed that there is mucus present. I also cough really bad during the time I throw up because of the irritation. I have gone to the doctor and he says I will have to wait a little longer due to some people take longer than others to reach the puree time. I'm a little worried. I am getting my protein down for the most part but still experience discomfort from that from time to time. Please help!!!

I just had surgery on August 5th. I experienced pain in recovery but it slowly became under control. My pain level is a little higher due to the fibromyalgia and ostioarthritsis. Now that I'm home I'm dealing with extreme gas. The pain from the incision isn't the problem. It's mainly the gas forming in my shoulder blade under the cuts and hurts so bad. Has anyone had this problem? And what did you to to relieve it.
