Sleeved 6/2/15...48 lbs gone!!! Starting wt 216, CW 168. No pre op diet...BMI was 32, my surgeon didn't require it.

I wouldn't even compare the two! I had 2 sections, the VSG was more soreness than the pain from the CS's. I had staples with my last section...sleeve...steri strips! -

I lived on the unjury chicken flavored broth for the first 3 weeks! I put it in my shaker cup and mixed hot tap water...so good...comforting! Not salty like regular broth at all! -

I'm a nurse and I'm appalled that a "nurse" would say something so disheartening! Your young..do it now, don't wait til your 57 like me and have multiple health problems! Your skin is more elastic being younger, do your exercises....you'll do great!!! -
The reason you are not allowed to drink 15 min prior or 30 min after eating is absorption of the nutrients in the food you ate. It needs to sit in your stomach, water will flush it on thru before this happens.
