Diana Plank replied to dacer123's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

How do I know if my band is leaking?
Diana Plank posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! I was wondering if anyone had had a band leakage and if so- how did they find out they had one? The last time I went to the doctor and told him I wasnt feeling any restriction, he recalbriated my band- removing all the fluid- and he told me that there was hardly any fluid in my band and that it sometimes "Sweats off" has anyone hard of this? He refilled me and I feel restriction now... but I'm not sure if it feels like it is getting less each day or if I am just paranoid! :help: -

Hi! how do you get your weight to show? Mine only shows what I have lost... Thanks!

Hi! I just recently found this website and I love it! I am so encouraged by what I have read. But I'm also a little sad- everyone seems to have lost so much more weight than me! I didn't feel restriction for the last 3 months and gained 5 pounds, then I got a fill right before christmas and I've lost that and then some! So Im very excited about the progress- I had just started eating things I couldn't before due to not feeling restriction and too much junk around for the holidays... and now I'm happy to say Im doing better! I just need to exercise though- when I get home from work (as a physical therapist) I'm just so TIERD and have a three year old! Any ideas on easy ways to get exercise in? I was thinking maybe the morning....

Hi! I'm so excited to find this board! I have been in a rut- but I went back to get my band "recalibrated" - when he removed the fluid he said, "there there is hardly anything in here! "nd refilled me- I have been doing much better- he said that it had "sweated off".

Its ok- I have been there. I think you should go back right away for another tighetening. I had been doing really well- and then I stopped feeling stricture- and gained a lot back. My Doctor recalibrated my band- took all the water out, and said that there was hardly any in there- that it had "sweated out" and he re filled me- I have been doing MUCH better. Its ok to feel depressed- Iwas too! I made appointments to meet with the dietition and the psychologist again and this REALLY helped as well! My doctor said- " I pay ALL these people to help you be successful- USE Them!!!" He also said that it was HIS job to make the band work and My job to use the tool he gave me... I hope this helps!

Drinking Alcoholic Beverage
Diana Plank replied to BabyCat's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You can drink what you want- acording to my Doctor- just like the others said- some people can tolerate it and some can't. I drink diet soda with no problems- and no stomache expansion. You don't want too much alcohol, however, becuase of the calories. -
Hello From Sunny (Warm) California!
Diana Plank replied to Songinmysoul1's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
naa- you'll loose a lot more! go for it! I have really been happy with my results so far! Its just that it is easy to cheat with high calorie liquids you have to remeber its a tool, not a total solution. You do FIll up WAY earlier and you can even throw up if you eat too much or to fast- a huge reason not to do so! Good luck! -
Hi! I just found this website- very cool. I have had the lap band surgery and had to pay out of pocket- BEST money ever spent! I have lost 40 pounds- although this time of the year has been hard! Anyone else struggling? Thanks! From Walton Kentucky
