Hello everyone I had a gastric sleeve with hernia repair on July 22nd 2015. With no prior problems, after one month post up I had consistent vomiting and nausea, I had many tests and they were all OK so my doctor told me that he should do an endoscopy just to make sure. I had to wait till week 7 in order to do an endoscopy procedure because he felt by this time my stomach is 100% healed. They discovered that I have hernia again So, i will have another surgery just to fix it and my doctor says it is a very easy operation. But I am wondering if this happened to anyone before ? And if you did, was the problem permanently fixed? Because I don't want to switch the Bypass surgery

I stated to feel nauseated and throw up a lot once I put something in my stomach, even Water makes me throw up sonetimes. I did an endoscopy procedure and then they found a hernia.I had a hiatal hernia repaired with my sleeve surgery, but sometimes, i get an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. It's not as bad as heartburn, just pressure. I was told that the swelling from the repair takes a while to go down and that might be the cause. Probably, my symptoms were nausea and vomiting. So you probably don't have another hernia.

I am almost a month out. Recently, I have excess mucus in my throat. It really bothers me and I am not sure what the reason is. I feel nauseous sometimes and throw up sometimes. Anyone has the same problem?

I am 12 days post up. I feel hungry more than once a day and I am sure it's not head hunger because I actually have the hunger pain and sound. I hear they say you never feel hungry in the first year . What about my situation here? It's really bothering me.

How long till the pain goes away?

If you think you are really in pain you should go to the ER. In the fifth day I had stomach pain and I thought it was a leak , but turned out it was stomach or muscle cramps. Hopefully you will get well soon. -

I had incisional pain in the first two days, then I had stomach pain like cramps or something like this till day #9. So I would say 10 days to two weeks then you will be pain free. -
I bought premier protein shakes and I love it . I just wasted my money buying protein powder.

I am 13 days post up. I tried different brand of Protein shake but they are disgusting and taste terrible. Tomorrow I will start puree phase and planing to force my self with protein shake. Just one question, since I didn't get protein in the past two weeks, will this affect me health wise? You know like increase the risk of leak or I am not ready for puree phase or something like that?
-
No I haven't tried premier shakes. I hear everyone say they are the best.

Yes I am taking acid medicine plus some other medication. And I drink large quantities of water with no problem. Only problem is I don't drink protein shake and this maybe why I feel hunger.

I have not but I will try it out.

No I not eating Greek yogurt. My NUT says in week three you can eat it. By the way I am drinking almond milk which has zero sugar. Also I am taking apple or orange powder and then mix with water, that is my juice. It has zero sugar but very low calorie. The brand called great value and you can find it in walmart.

I am actually on full liquid. All I drink is milk and some juice plus yogurt thinned with milk. I HATE protein shakes they taste disgusting. I tried different brand but they all taste terrible.

I had my surgery on July 22. Whenever I try to drink clear Protein shakes I get sick and throw up. Is this normal? Water now is my only friend.

If they are located in upper stomach then I had the same spasms. They subside by time. I am 9 days post up and barely feel them. My doctor says it is just a reaction to the new stomach plus the muscle is healing.

I am now one week post up. I woke up this morning with skin discoloration on my right arm next where they usually take blood from you. Should I be concerned ?
-
My doctor says it is just bruising from the IV. Nothing to worry about.
-
Thank you all. My one week post up appointment is today. I will check with my doctor. I hope I will be fine, I don't think I am ready for complications

Actually my doctor suggested that I go to the ER. And it is true the pain is trapped gasses but they are painful.
