Long Term VSG Sleevers?
Tricebhasstyle replied to nancytrevino's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I got my date y'all!! Hoohoo! Deposit paid. I'm going through all the feelings about this thing I'm purposely having done to myself. I'm at the point of retiring to the facts now. I am believing that ALL will be well through this entire event in my life. I will make the changes required to be healthy and this tool will help me along the way. My surgery date is July 14th with Dr. Maytorena at Long Term VSG in TJ. Wish me luck! Prayer is even better. Lolbvs ..Thanks! -

African American vsgers!

I know what you mean. I've been partaking in a couple things or at least thinking about it even if I don't have it. I've been mulling over a sonic blast for couple weeks now lol. I really want to not want those things after surgery so having them now seems to make sense. We will be able to eat again. I'm personally not gonna have too many more food funerals, hopefully. -

Losing too much weight
Tricebhasstyle replied to Tricebhasstyle's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@robinsmj thanks for the response! Girl I'm just a tench worried about that. Tbh I'm more worried about everything else though. My goal weight at this time is about 160-165 too. I was that in the 115-125s back n my teens and early 20s and I guess if I get back there it is what it is. It's true our health is the most important thing. I just don't want the you look sick comments n looks from the whole community (work, family, church). Who cares what they say but u probably understand what I mean. At the end if the day though I'm just praying for zero complications and a smooth transition into the wls lifestyle. Good luck with everything. -

Hi I'm new here. I love this site and y'all give me so much inspiration and many things to think about. I appreciate each of you. My name is Latrice and I am 38 yrs young. I am married to my High school sweetie and we have two sons 20 &16, and my Goddaughter who is 13. I live in TN, outside of Nashville. I am 245 lbs and sick of being overweight. I get the you carry your weight well comments when the topic comes up among family and friends. I hear them and I feel like I do carry it well but IM TIRED OF BEING overweight period. My goal weight is around the 170s-160s right now but I may feel differently as it goes of course. I have been researching the sleeve forever almost got the band because that and the bypass were all I could get approved for from BCBS. I'm so upset that now I can't seem to qualify (no 5 years med records, thankfully I'm not sick) and unfortunately I don't have 22k or 5k bucks laying around to pay for this thing. I'm just ready to get this started. Just found out I could not borrow the full amount for MX only half (student loans ????) so I'm going to get a 2nd job to help with that. Y'all please pray for me as I want to be able to get this money together before forever and that I'll have a safe surgery and figure this tiny tummy out when I blessed with the procedure. Thank you. Ok no more complaining for me. ???? Latrice

Am I the only one who regrets their Sleeve?
Tricebhasstyle replied to banksdea's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thanks for the encouragement Michelle! I am firmly rooted in having this happen for myself that I feel like I could do it myself lol. Where are my surgical gloves and scalpel just kidding but I think I'm ready. You never really know and I accept that for now. I am itching to have this be in the past and to get on with the rest of my life with my little tummy to assist me as long as it can. I am working on making better choices beforehand so hopefully that will make the road that much easier to go. I hope out friend here can get through the tough times like you have and I hope to also. -

Am I the only one who regrets their Sleeve?
Tricebhasstyle replied to banksdea's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
To be honest I'm pre surgery but I hope and pray to God I don't have these feelings so strongly. After watching hundreds of YT vids some over and over of "the journey" it seems to get better and better for most people. Be glad you are complication free honey. That's the hope. It'll be better I believe. You have much success and happiness ahead of you. Get off the blogs n boards and go live a little. Do something new unrelated to food and see if that takes your mind off of it until the situation improves. Lifting you up n prayer. Latrice
