Tis the season for major stress! Listen to your Dr's they have your best intrest at heart. You must be soo careful not to give in to the urge to restrict so severly. I know it is hard to do when you want the weight off so bad! I go thru it daily trying not to purge my food! I have learned that if you will be kind to your body and it will reward you. Pick up the phone and call that dear friend of yours and tell them how much they mean to you. Before you know it you will start to feel some sence of peace. You take good care! We are all here if you need us!

:(Talk about going from the frying pan into the fire!!! What do you mean you have changed to anorexia? I do not mean to be rude ...BUT HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? It is not like switching toothpastes! You do not just decide to switch an eating disorder. For your information Anorexia , that you so casualy speak of , will kill you faster than bulimia! The disease is killing thousands as we sit here! I may catch grief for what i am about to say but so what it would not be the first time. I do not think you know what you're talking about! I think your just using the word anorexia for the impact it creates...in other words to get attention. That makes me angry when you play around with such a deadly disease that soo many people ARE actualy suffering with not to mention dying from! I hope what I am saying is true for you...that you do not know what your talking about! FYI... I lost my best friend to anorexia 3 yrs ago and I would not wish this disease on anyone!!! That is why I am soo passionate about this! So I truly hope you do not know what your saying. If you do and are actualy sick...God help you! You need to be in a treatment clinic where you can get the love and care you need. But it is my gutt feeling just by reading your words that... thank goodness is not the case. Next time think before you throw the word Anorexia around..especialy when it comes to saying you chose to have it! Good Luck to you.

Everything will fall into place once you bet the ball rolling and you will be a member of Bandland before you know it! I will say this to you about the band. It is not a miracle cure. You will not become banded and have all your issues with food taken away. Everything that made you over weight will still be with you! The band will allow you to eat less, but at best it is only a wonderful weight loss TOOL. The band is only as good as the CHOICES you make while having it. So being successful with the band takes alot of hard work, both mentaly and physicaly. You have to be ready to really change. Thank goodness the band is always ready when WE are! I have been banded a year and am still trying to get it right..and I will. I just wanted to convey how important it is to know that the band is only as good as our actions. Okay I hate working out with a passion..the red hot passion of a thousand suns!!! I do not like it Sam I am! But I know in order to get this disgusting fat off my body I am going to have to do it. I have a membership to Planet Fitness and....AND Bally's! But will I step outside my house and go? No! Hell walking to get into the car to go to the gym would be more exercise than I am getting now!I have tried everything else but working out regularly.. so something tells me that might be my answer! Duh? So how did you push yourself when you got stuck getting started like me?

Hey I can sure relate! I was over filled right before Thanksgiving and I truly thought I was going to die! The dehydration was so bad I lost 21 pounds in 6 days!!! Yea I was a sick puppy! I learned my lesson ...better too loose than too tight! Glad you are feeling better ,keep drinking and do not worry about the weight you lost coming back on. Remember it was all water and it will. Take good care!

This is a hard thread for my to write and I am sorry if it is long. I truly feel lost right now, as in... I have lost my way and I do not know how to get back to "Band Land"! I was banded one year ago Oct the 4th and I have not done a correct thing since I woke up out of surgery! I originaly only lost around 20 lbs... of which I now keep putting back on and loosing again. One of my many issues I will not bore you with, is I am bulimic. I can control the purging ...but I still have a big problem with the bingeing. So like I tell my therapist it is a wonder I am not afraid of eating all together now! Name one bad habit with the band and I will tell you I am sruggling with trying to stop it. I could be a poster child for what NOT to do when you get you band! I am really ashamed of this year and I do not want or expect sympathy! This whole big mess all came about based on my choices! I fully aknowledge I have made pretty much nothing but bad ones and this is all of my own doing. I also am starting to understand there is a part of myself that feels I do not deserve the happiness my band has to offer me when used correctly. But I truly believe I am stronger than that, I know I can do this. There is still enough self repect left that I think I can get a handle on this. I am up for the hard work it will require. But right now I just need some direction to help get me back on the straight and narrow! Where in the world do I begin? Who better to ask than all of you that have already taken this road to success in Band Land. Thanks in advance!

The thing is that a woman will often give a man with a weight problem a chance because she likes his sense of humor, or she has observerd his kind heart...in other words bottom line for us it's not all just about looks! You can get to our hearts if you try...but men..please... forget that! No offence but 99 per cent of the time it is all about looks with you guys! Even beautiful women have a hard time getting to your hearts. So do not act like you open up your heart without putting us thru the ringer first! If you take a look around you DO see some lovely women with short, FAT pretty unattractive men. But ya aint gonna catch a player with anybody that is FAT unless of course it is that PHAFT and she has got junk in the trunk! ha! Like I have said before I truly believe a man would rather you be a drug addict than obese. Drug addicts are nice and thin! I will catch hell for that but that is how phobic I beleive men are about women being over weight. Just my experiences and they have not been kind!

BREATH...Ok, have you told him that you are heavy? I always make sure they know it going in so that there are no surprises. I sware to God I think men would rather you have herione needle hanging out of your arm when you first meet that to be you overweight! It is sad but true! I have alot of guy friends and they tell me all the time how they blow off really nice girls because of being a little overweight. But lets face it... if you tell him and he STILL wants to meet you then you have something to work with. If NOT it is better to get rid of the looser now! Think about it if he were a little person you would want him to tell you. You are a wonderful woman with an beautiful spirit that I am sure any man would be lucky to have in his life! Start out right tell him about your weight before you meet. Honesty is the ONLY policy! Good Luck!

I know this seems stupid but I just have to share that I am so far FROSTY FREE for the day! That's a big deal to me..normaly I would have had 2 by now. Pray I stay strong, because I really am addicted to them. I am on the other hand still having to stand up to be comfortable when I try to eat. Have a Dr.'s appt already made.

I am a binge eater and a recovering bulimic. Trust me I know exactly what you are feeling when it comes to food! You are going to be fine. Look at what a great start you have! Be kinder to yourself! You are worthy of all the wonderful things to come your way! Great Job!
