OK, I've done a stupid thing, and weighed myself. Despite eating a total of 1400 calories in the LAST 5 DAYS, the scales say I've GAINED 3 pounds! I know it's my fault, and that its from all the fluids IV, but I'm still gutted. Fellow September sleevers, DON't weigh yourself post op, let me make that mistake for you all ???? -

@@amberc Yes it seems a bit different here in the UK. I'm on full liquids for 2 weeks, then puréed for 2 weeks, then minced foods in week 5. You will be pleased to get home I'm sure. -

Managing well at home Really enjoyed a night in my own bed and a shower this morning. Just had 1 dose of pain meds today, paracetamol ( Tylenol in USA I think?) Managed Ready Brek thin porridge for breakfast, and soup for lunch. Still tired, and my calf muscles cramp when I walk upstairs. -

Hi my surgery is on the 4th. (in the uk) I have my pre op assessment on Friday 28th.. they haven't told me I need to be on a special diet yet! How are you finding it?? are you excited?? I'm slightly nervous!! Hi jay05Diet has been OK. I was really worried about it, but when I put my mind to it I CAN stick to a diet. The worst day was Saturday when I had to do an 8 hour drive home from Wales on holiday. Had my pre op yesterday , and that went OK Good luck to you. -

Hi I am due to have my op on 3rd September. I am in the UK, though, so don't always recognise the brand names people suggest for protein stuff. Pre op diet starts when I am on holiday. 3 pints skimmed milk a day for 2 weeks. Gulp!!!! -
I am due to have my sleeve on 3rd Sept Had my dietician appointment yesterday, and she told me not to drink for30 mins before a meal and 2 HOURS after!!!! Really? 2 hours? I was expecting maybe 1 hour? Is this advice unusual?
