Akh98, in the first few weeks you take about 3-5 bites and you are full, now I eat two meals a day and a snack if needed. I can see only eat about 1/4 cup or less depending on what I am eating. When I work out now I burn more calories than I eat in the entire day:) good luck! -
Feel like I'll pop if I put anything else in my mouth today.

I run a daycare durning the day. I fix lunch for them and by the time I am done cooking I am not even hungry!! I have to make myself eat something, so I normally eat a cheese stick and I am done. Then at night when I fix supper for my hubby and whatever kids are home (3 teenagers, two with jobs) I forget to fix sides to go with the meat!! Last night I chopped up onions and a green pepper and put in a pan with some stew meat. I cooked that and my hubby came in and asked, what are we having with this? I said I don't know, I opened the fridge and said there is some fresh pineapple you can have. I felt bad for him. I forget about everyone else because I knew I would eat maybe a few bites and be full. It is hard to cook for my family of 5 since I only eat a few bites. I am stuck and as to what to do for dinners!!! I love the cockpot and use it a lot. But left overs could last ME a week. I might just start making them cook for their self, as I could make left overs from one one last me the rest of the week!! -
I went to the gym three times, so far. The first time I went one mile in an hour, second time 2.5 miles in about an hour and ten minutes, third time 2.5 miles in 46 mins. Love going to the gym hoping to get released to do more soon. I am 4 weeks out and am down 40 lbs. Hoping to get under 200 by next month, which is 20 lbs away!!! I can't wait to show myself to extended family at the end of July. They have not seen me since August of last year.

No 30 lbs since my surgery, and today I weighted in at 219.8. I pasted my last goal today!!! Now it is time to move to the next goal which is 200 lbs. when I hit 199.9, I am treating myself to an hour massage for losing 60 lbs!!! I love my sleeve and love, love, love the results!!! I had to go through my jeans and get rid of almost all my jeans!! I have 3 pairs of capris and they are all elastic waist because I am to cheap to buy regular clothes right now and I know I am going to spend a ton of money when I finally hit my final goal of 150. I know I have hit goals before my surgery and than slowly a lb or two would come back on, I am just glad to be rid of all the extra weight for good!!!! I can now keep up with my one year old grandson and hopefully I can continue to keep up with him as he grows! He was the main reasons I wanted to rid myself of the extra weight. I had no medical problems, my BP was below normal, and everything else checked out fine to. I love being with him and want to see him grow up and be around for the next grandchild. With my weight of 257-265 I knew that it was not going to be long before medical problems started. But I could not be happier with the results! Last night I went 2.7 miles on treadmill in 47 mins. I can not wait until I can run on treadmill and do some strengthening of my arms and legs!!! I have not been this weight since I graduated high school!!!

You should buy some small containers and portion out large recipes and freeze them for those times you need to grasp and go. This worked really well for me durning the puréed phase and the soft food stage. There were lots of times when I didn't want to eat but got a container out and made myself eat something. -
Glad you both are doing good!! It will only take you a few trips to catch up to me, with all this "new" energy you have to let it out some how!! Let me know how you do today:)

June 15 sleeve and feeling awesome!
grandmaofone posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I started this process on Jan 8 by going to a seminar(259 lbs) Feb 23 started my three month dr watched diet. I finished my last diet class on May 20 (254lbs). Got a call while on Vacation on May 29, and scheduled surgery for June 15. At my pre-op appt on June 3, started my pre-op restricted diet on June 4. It went so fast I didn't really have time to get nervous!! June 15, I weighted 240lbs. Today I am down to 224. I am excited to not only get rid of some weight for good, but also I have a bathing suit I have that I would love to get into by the end of summer!!! I just have about 20 more pounds to go till I can wear it!!! Tomorrow is my 2 week check up and I am pretty well eating soft foods and walking daily. I am excited to hit my next goal of 200lbs, then I thing my next goal will be another 20 lbs. I think when I hit 199.9 lbs I am going to enjoy an hour massage, to reward myself. I am looking forward to running around with my one year old grandson and not being out of breath!!!! Loving my decision to do this and I am not looking back!!!!! Hope everyone else is doing great also!!!! -

Smitty3, anything cooked in the cockpot like chicken, pork tenderloins, mashed potatoes(although they have no protein if you cook with chicken both it adds protein) cheese, refried beans(mix in a little light sour cream) I had a good meal plan as I made something and then froze portions to later in the week and just warm in microwave. Hope that helps:) -
I am having my sleeve on Monday. I have been over weight since high school. I have lost and gain over the years but can not ever keep the weight off. I am excited to be able to finally lose and show my extended family that you can do it. I have no support from my husbands side of the family (they think I am taking the easy way) and my hubby is trying to diet with me. I believe he is getting frustrated because I am currently on my pre-op and I am losing about 2 lbs a day, he has not lost but a few pounds total. I am excited to get this started and I started at 260ish lbs. I am down to 244. I am happy with the way things are progressing and look forward to getting down to 165-160. I hope this doesn't change my relationship with my husband as we were high school sweethearts and been married for 20 years.
