Had surgery to remove a staghorn kidney stone on Wednesday. I'm up 20 pounds!!! I'm sure it's just fluid, but hard to see.... What makes it worse is I have to have another procedure in 2 weeks. :-(

Just a comment on the PPI. I had been taking the max dosage for about 10 years because I had severe Gerd. I also was on other medications but I have always suspected that my stage 3 kidney disease was caused by a combination of my PPI and another med that I take for psoriatic arthritis. Incidentally it was the kidney disease that finally convinced me to have bypass.
