Had surgery to remove a staghorn kidney stone on Wednesday. I'm up 20 pounds!!! I'm sure it's just fluid, but hard to see.... What makes it worse is I have to have another procedure in 2 weeks. :-(
So sorry to hear about the kidney stone and the upcoming surgery. Yep the 20 pounds up is fluids and should come off quickly. What is the second procedure you have to have? What caused the kidney stones did they say?
The kidney stone was huge and had likely been there for 10 years. They found it in the process of approving me for my sleeve. The cause is unknown. They were unable to get the entire thing in the first procedure, so I have to have a second one.
Yuck and ouch!! Sorry you're having to deal with this right now. I just read an article that theorizes that taking a PPI for an extended time can lead to kidney stones, and other kidney complications. Have you ever heard of such a thing??? Feel better!
